Stick with OEM plugs, no need to get fancy. Most gas vehicles I've owned have had NGK as OEM, not sure who the OEM for the ACDelco plugs is but that's what I'd use.

I've never had problems sticking with OEM plugs, all the frustration and "horror stories" have been from people that strayed from OEM to try something "better."

 

But what would a diesel fan know about spark plugs? ?

I tend to agree, especially since the OEM seem to have done fine. Of course, I haven't pulled the old ones yet.

 

AC Delco or NGK equivalent.

 

AC Delco, all the way. Why change brands when they have done well for many years?

 

My 2001 Taco from the factory had NGK on one side and Denso on the other, really

I looked it up at the time and they had both as suppliers and that is how they did it for a while.

 

Toyota normally uses Nippondenso Plugs.

 

I generally keep with the stock Delco plugs. I have used NGK with no issues.

Just don't fall for the gimick plugs. Splitfire was just a gimic as were some others out there.

I try to keep to the OE type unless it is modified.
