2015 WT 2.5L manual (Jan '15 build), 46,000 miles and so far I haven't had a single issue with mine. Broke 2 rules in buying a new car and buying a 1st model year on top of it, have nothing but good things to say about the truck though.

There was a recall shortly after I got it for some component of the exhaust that I can't remember, the dealership replaced the whole exhaust. I also had a cab controller flashed per a TSB. That's the only time it's spent at the dealer in 3.5 years.

I've had the rear brakes done per the TSB that the dealership brought up to me when I had the truck in for the TSB install of the ECM and trans recently. That's about it when it comes to problems, I did have them look at the noisy rearend and they showed me a 2018 makes the same noise, so it is normal, albeit crazy in my opinion. I found out how to eliminate the noise from the rear leaf springs this past fall by putting some vinyl cove pieces between the leafs, front and rear, noise gone.

2017 Canyon Denali DMAX with 18,000 miles (bought new Nov 2017).

- Rear turn signal bulb bad from the factory.
- Had an airbag warning pop up after a couple of months of ownership, turned out to be a known issue with the harness at one of the connectors.
- Seat ventilation fan in driver's seat back failed (bearing, making a buzzing sound). Goes in tomorrow to be replaced.
- Pandora app in the infotainment system randomly causes the DIC screen to spaz out. Known issue but no software fix yet.
- Apple CarPlay can sometimes be a pain to launch. Not sure if it's an issue with the infotainment system or with iOS. No fix yet.

Overall very happy with the truck, other than the airbag harness issue the others are barely worth mentioning.

2017 3.6 v6, 8-speed, Z71 CCSB here...I'm about to hit 38,000 and have had zero issues with the truck. Really love this truck. Some quirks with the transmission "shudder" in my truck, so I got the Trifecta tune, which helped a good bit. The 8-speed can be a little clunky at times, but the majority of the time is really smooth.

I'm regularly getting 23-24 mpg in this truck, which I think is awesome...got 27 mpg on a trip to the Outer Banks this summer. I only lost about 5-6 mpg over my 2010 Mazda3 going to this truck, so I love that.

Only had one problem with my 2017 Colorado LT, but it was a big one. At around 8700 miles an exhaust valve spring failed and ruined the engine. Needless to say I was a little bummed! See the story here...

Anywoo, local dealer put in a brand new engine and the truck has been great since. Other than the engine failure it's been perfect. Of course, now I'm deathly afraid of putting a tune on this engine.

15,XXX miles now and no issues. No rattles, chuggle, glitches, etc...

2016 Colorado Z71 4x4 built in 8/15, No problems. Two recalls. Hood latch and clamp on heating and AC control arm. Just change the oil and rotate the tires.

Hello 2017 GMC Diesel

rear end replaced 20k out of service for 3 weeks
in 4 times for a check engine bad DEF warning
Passenger door rattle and buzz Bose system
out of service for 1 month after going into limp mode flatbed to the dealer.

Nice truck when it works....

Damn, that is a lot of issues, but a LOT of miles in 4 years too.
Being 4 years old and 135,000 miles, I would consider that a very good record. Little to no trouble other than routine maintenance.

My 2016 V6:

One fender flare came loose, replaced, warranty
Service AirBag Light, wiring harness broken in rear door causing front crash sensor to short out, repaired warranty.
Did the Blend door clamp

My Colorado ZR2 issues

I would like to say I am very impressed with what the truck is capable of and I have owned and built some of the most capable 4x4's around. I bought it to use as a overland weekend warrior type vehicle in all fairness I have not talked to the dealer about all of the issues yet so I will up date this once I do. However I was curious if I am the only one having these issues?
2018 Colorado ZR2 33,xxx KM
Purchased July 2018 Not my primary vehicle but driven often, But I have travel From Tuktoyaktuk, N.W.T. to almost Ontario, Canada and many in between with no major issues!

1) Wheel coating seems to be damaged very easily lots of chips in clear coat from gravel roads I would suspect.

2) Paint is coming off the weld's on the rock rails.

3) Body damage " small dents, bubbles, paint flaking off" on rear wheel arches from rock bouncing inside box sides and getting stuck on wheel wells.

4) I got a flat front tire used the factory jack it would not lower all the way. "Dealer is covering this under warranty"

It's so funny watching some of this stuff. You come here and join the forum And post one thread and this is it? I have been here so many years seeing this stuff and just have to wonder about Trolls. They always seem to have problems no one ever had or just have problems and can't even give us photos or the correct info of the truck they own. I'm not saying you are a troll. I'm just curious why your jack wouldn't lower all the way? People have talked about the jack not being tall enough for a ZR2, but no one ever said they can't lower it. What happened at the dealer? Photos? Thanks

I do have a new problem because it is 2 degrees outside and my truck is 3 1/2 years old. My battery isn't happy anymore. I'm getting a new one tomorrow. It seems these batteries only make it three years now. The first generation Colorado's batteries lasted forever. I guess it is modern technology. Sucks! :frown2:

The fellow posted back in December but from experience and my camper having four of them which I use on a regular basis the scissor jacks are not the most reliable and can fail going up or down. A cheap design that barely meets requirement. I carry a hydraulic bottle type as a backup myself.

Got it. That makes sense and must really suck if it is stuck under your truck. This is the first truck I have owned, where I didn't take the jack out and test it when it was brand new. I guess I'm getting lazy and shouldn't always be counting on AAA to be there. When it warms up a bit I have to check it out. Thanks

The only issues I have seen so far with my 2018 Colorado Z71 CCSB have been the clanking seat belt in the B-Pillar on both sides that can get annoying quick, and the gear shifter button has a nice squeak to it when you press it. Other than that knock on wood it's a great truck!
