Does anyone know if there is a black bowtie grill emblem that can swapped out for the gold one?
I would like to put a black bowtie on the tailgate also.

Awesome, good to know. ThanksI did my front emblem with plastidip in December and it still looks new (after cleaning the bugs off).
Actually, i lied...I only did the back w the plasti dip, was planning to do front the day of my original post but time for the best of me. Sorry...lol.You did the front emblem too correct? I ask because I would be curious if it's held up to hitting bugs, etc. If so, I would be very tempted. I tried it with my wheels and it's held up great so far after about 6 months.
Plastidip is super easy and reversible. Any overspray just buffs right off.Has anyone tried this method ?
Up to this point just been using plastidip but is starting to look a bit messy so opting towards a full swap.
I opted for the full swap. I figure it will look nicer and last longer.Has anyone tried this method ?

All in all it turned out great. The black badges are much better. Even with the tailgate being a pain I think it is better than the plastic dip if your willing to spend the money.
I opted to pay the dealer to do this (my dealer has a body shop that does this stuff). The tailgate wasn't as easy. I used a hairdryer and fishing line and got it off easily. Getting the adhesive off took some time. I used goo gone and a lot of elbow grease to get it all off. I was upset to see than I had scratches from using my finger nails all over. I tried to wax them out but I could still see some small ones. Not too bad but I can tell they are there.
Hey do you have any pictures showing the whole front? I have a cyber grey as well and have been debating on whether or not I would like the black emblem or not.I got my emblem in the mail today and decided to give it a shot. The front one was fairly easy to replace. Unclip the old one and push the new one in place. For the rear one I didn't want to chance a heat gun. It was about 62 degrees and rainy, with the garage door open. I used 12lb test fishing line doubled up. Went through about 5 length but it came right off. Here is what I think is a must. My friend loaned me his old "ERASER WHEEL" It is a rubber wheel that fits at the end of the drill to remove double sided tape on vehicles without damaging the paint. He said it is only about $15 at a body shop supply store. I think they look 10 times better than the black film and it won't peel.
While mine isnt gray, trust me...... you want it. :wink2:Hey do you have any pictures showing the whole front? I have a cyber grey as well and have been debating on whether or not I would like the black emblem or not.
I had the dealer install the bow ties & remove the dam. They gave a good price, I couldn't be happier.Hey do you have any pictures showing the whole front? I have a cyber grey as well and have been debating on whether or not I would like the black emblem or not.
