I don't have pictures but I've towed a old ass 20 foot camper about 40 miles and I tow our 15 foot 2 horse trailer we use for trash hauling quite often. The camper was a little too heavy for the little 4 banger and I had to slip the clutch a little taking off and backing up but it held 55 down the highway just fine the trash trailer doesn't get much over 3000 pounds so it pulls that great, I don't go much over 55 with that either because of wind resistance but even fully loaded it pulls it like a champ.

I tow a 20 foot FunFinder weighing in at about 3300 lbs. A bit of a challenge when going up and down mountains. Made two 60 day road trips from Florida to the westcoast and back. The Rockies were challenging. Max speed on a steep climb was about 45 mph. Never felt scared or out of control at any phase of the trips.

2016 LT pulling a 20 foot travel trailer with weight distribution hitch. Comes in at about 4100 pounds. Pulls really well. I'm new to towing, but this truck and trailer combo works pretty well.

I am hauling this trailer to Sturgis South Dakota. It seems fully loaded. It’s about 2500 pounds? Got 19 miles a gallon going up and over the Blue Ridge all the way past Nashville.

looks good, maybe a 2 inch drop hitch and it will ride level, or an adjustable one.

Have a safe and fun trip.

Yeah, that hitch ball definitely needs to be dropped a few inches.

I like the "idea" of one of those Weigh Safe hitches, but unless I missed it, the weight mechanism is in use all the time you're towing, there doesn't appear to be a "lockout" to take the load once you get the tongue weight right, so, I'm thinking over time that spring will start to sag, leading to inaccurate readings. It's a moot point for me, as I'll most likely never town anything more than about 1,500lbs (my 3-rail M/C trailer and my 2 bikes). MAYBE a small rented camper.

Wondering what folks are towing with their Colorados?
I was looking at travel trailers yesterday, the one I picked is a bit heavier than I was looking for @ 4300 lbs.

This 5 x 12 motorcycle trailer filled with a 2013 ultra glide and a bunch of boxes of oil from Sturgis that we didn’t sell (overestimated potential sales). I towed it full of oil to Sturgis and after the rally then left it while I went to Butte and did some backcountry four wheeling, and then back to Sturgis to pick up the stuffed trailer and take it back to South Carolina! Closing in on a 5000 mile adventure

Post up pics, weights, trailer info (make, model, etc), and your hitch/WDH setup if at all possible!
Hi all,
I tow a 20' trailer camper with my 2018 ZR2. The dry weight is ~3500. I suspect it is close to 4000 when camping, maybe more if the water tank is full. The power is adequate, but out here in the rockies, the long ascents to the passes makes the engine work very hard. I have no complaint with the power, however, the ride is pretty terrible, especially since the stock seat is already very uncomfortable. On anything but a very smooth road, the bouncing is almost intolerable. The best description of the ride is "porpoising". I have tweaked the WDH set up to no avail. As you can see from the picture, the trailer is a single axle, and my theory is that this (v. a double axle) contributes greatly to the porpoising. It's just a theory, but previously I had a double axle trailer on my '92 Blazer and the ride was no where near as bad. I would appreciate any thoughts on this topic. Does a newer gen have a better ride when towing? I've considered upgrading to a the latest gen mostly for the better seats.
Thanks!
