A couple updated shots of the Canyon as she currently sits. I am currently in possession of a set of Peak coilovers set to 3" with HD springs, Camburg UCAs, diff drop, extended end links and sway bar relocation but due to being in between homes at the moment and living in Shaver lake for the time being the install is gonna have to wait.

Well, one of my OPT7 LED headlights burnt out. I got two years out of it so I’m not complaining too much. Decided just to go back to halogen and not deal with LED or HID. Just not worth it for the price in my opinion.

picked up the Sylvania Silverstar ZXE and they are just about as bright as my LEDs were and were only $50.

It’s been awhile, the mods have slowed down a bit for me but today I did do a much needed upgrade to my winch setup. I have never been a fan of the open hook design and my smittybilt came with one so its been on my list for awhile to replace it. I bought the enclosed winch shackle and fairlead from Agency 6. I am very impressed with the build quality, fit and finish. Very well made products and it cleaned up my setup quite a bit.

And leave it to Smittybilt and their infinite wisdom to permanently attach the hook to the cable so the torch made quick work of that

It’s been a little bit but I finally got around to installing my front suspension setup. I have literally had this stuff for over a year and moving twice, getting evacuated from our cabin due to fire in the area, other life stuff I finally had a chance to do it😃

I installed the Peak suspension coilover setup and had them equipped with the 600lb HD spring rate set to 3” of lift. I paired them with a set of Camburg uniball upper control arms, Prothane extended end links and Street Rays sway bar relocation kit. Everything went on smoothly and the truck sits really nice now. I’m very happy with the way it turned out. Now I just have to take it to the trails to test it out!

here are some photos:

How do you like the ride with the 600lb springs? Nice truck btw.

Thanks, it rides great now. With the bumper and winch setup it was overweight on stock springs and you could really tell. much more firm and predictable now.

Well, I unfortunately blew one of my Bilstein 5100 rear shocks. Don’t know how or when but it happened. I wasn’t mad because i was looking for a reason to upgrade anyways. I went with the Fox 2.0. It was a toss up between them and the Icon’s, my main requirement was that they were rebuildable bc of obvious reasons:LOL: (i.e. read my first sentence) and I just so happen to get the Fox’s for a bit less than the Icon’s so here we are.

Initial impressions are fantastic, fit and finish are top notch compared to the bilstein (I love the 5100’s btw). I’m going camping this weekend so ill have to see how the Fox’s do on the trails.

I like them a lot. pretty decent light for a halogen and at that price I really don't feel like i need to go back to LED. At least until the price of LED comes way down lol

Thx! I keep going back and forth about getting LEDs, but reviews are all over the map. Plus, many of the ones that people are raving about are just whiter, but not necessarily brighter. I don’t want to have to mess with different/modified dust caps either.
I’ll pick up some of the Sylvanias. Thx!

one thing i also noticed was that the LED's were so bright that they actually cut into my fog lights and drowned it out. When I switched back to the halogen i found that my amber fog's were much more visible and useful.

I don't have any fogs on my ZR2. I'd like some though. Perhaps I'll add some down the road, but I'm not too keen on cutting into the front facia.

It’s been awhile but im due for some new tires so I have been prepping for 33’s and today I did the high clearance bumper cut. Used a 3” hole saw to get the radius and free handed the rest. I finished it with some rubber edge trimming and it turned out pretty clean.
