GearOn Utility Rack weight limit?

I've searched the web/forums and have been unsuccessful in finding the weight limit that the GearOn Utility rack can support.

Does anyone happen to know what the limit is?
I was hoping it would support a rooftop tent but don't want to purchase one until I know for sure.

Thanks.

Ah, I think we are talking about two different things.

I have the utility rack pictured here:

Looks like I would need the bed divider cross rails to mount to the tie-down rings. I like that option as it would lower the rooftop tent below the roof of the cab during transport but don't want to have to buy more cross rails if I don't have to. (unless the crossrails on the utility rack are the same as the bed divider rails. I'll need to go measure)

I'm still curious how much weight the stanchions of the Gear On utility rack can support though.

So after doing some research I found out that the GearOn rack/rails are made by DeeZee for GM.
I contacted DeeZee and they put me in touch with their engineers.
They provided the following information regarding weight limits.

-------------------------------
GearOn Utility rack Stanchions with Crossrails.
23144878 - GM 31XX Utility Rack

300lbs total

------------------------------

GearOn Crossrails mounted in truck bed with tie-downs
22950523 - GM 31XX Tiered Storage Beams

250LBS each
500lbs total over both

------------------------------

Hope this helps with anyone else looking for the info.

So if the utility rack is a DeeZee product, is there a version without the black paint and/or bowties that can be had for slightly less?

Apostolos - did you get them installed? Can you offer anymore comments/feedback? I would think there are a several utility rack options, so what are the benefits of the OEM GearOn?

Thanks!

Yes I had them installed prior to winter. I added a Tonneau Cover recently but I'll reattach the rack in warmer months most likely. I've only used the rack to transport a ladder and some lumber but it seemed quite sturdy. No issues with it. This is my first utility rack so I can't really compare it to others but for the price I paid, I'm extremely happy with it.

Here is a photo of the rack installed.

I'd like to try and fabricate something using the T-bolt channels on the sides to mount some over-lander gear as pictured in the second photo.
