I'm really considering spending the cash to get the BDS 5.5 in lift which is about 2000 just for the parts. Has anyone installed this? Does it cost a lot to have it installed? Does anyone have any photos they can share?

Honestly does it matter? I'm asking a question to see answers that pertain to my exact question rather than trying to read 300 posts just to find something similar to what I just asked. DEAL WITH IT... Maybe people have the exact same question but are afraid of getting harassed by annoying cunts like yourself :) Don't go on the thread if your gonna complain about it... That's all I gotta say, thanks!

Considering he answered two of your three EXACT questions with his search it was called for. You could have very easily posted in that thread and just asked one simple question that pertained to the exact lift you were asking about, how much is install. Which the response would be depends on the shop as all are different but about the same as every other GM IFS SRA kit that is similar to this kits install price. Take a chill pill, no need to start insulting, all it does is lose your credibility and make you look like a...

Yes it does matter, keeps the amount of repetitive threads at bay. If someone searches and finds 40 threads about their question each with 2-7 responses they will be less likely finish the search and more likely to just post a question. See where this is going?

You are the same guy that starts a new thread that gets locked about removing the air dam that has been discussed since quite literally the first week these trucks came out last year. Then again multiple posts about lifts, I wanna do a lift, how do I do a lift, has anybody done a lift; and you asked if anyone has a blue truck and pictures of a blue truck and there were already threads about it which were both locked and merged. Seriously man, search and you can find your answer!

^Boom.

And you apparently didn't realize that I STILL provided you with links to your questions... so my response was not limited to only pointing out that a majority of your posts/threads are pointless.

I ordered the same lift and wheels about a week ago (before I got on the forum). taking it in to the shop this next week. Glad to see pictures of how good it looks!

Not the best pic but it shows the general stance. When I park next to a stock Colorado, mine looks like a different truck.

Holy thread resurrection Batman!

I'm recovering from back surgery, so I have nothing but time on my hands as I recuperate. And I'm lift shopping. And I've read a zillion threads on them.

Regardless of whatever I choose, I'll be doing an AAL in the back....I need the additional payload capacity. So my thinking is that I could do the BDS and use a 3" block in the rear with the AAL. Though 5-1/2" is more lift than I want or need, it does look crazy sharp, and it'll settle a bit when I add the winch bumper and a proper rear bumper. And the BDS is complete. No need to add a differential drop or new end links; it's all there. The only "extra" is the wheel spacers, and the eventual need to get bigger tires that won't look ridiculous with that much lift. But for starters, it's $3,500 for the lift with coilovers, $115 for the AAL, and $230 for the spacers. Call it 4 grand plus installation.

Or, for a couple hundred more, I could do the Icon Stage 4 with a 1" rear block and the AAL. Still need the spacers, and I'd have to add the diff drop and longer endlinks. Install should be much, much cheaper.....Hell, I could do the rear shocks, AAL, and blocks myself.

I don't "need" the lift, inasmuch as I need to bring the front end up to match what the rear has to be raised due to the AAL. So the Icon setup makes more logical sense. And it'll make it more parking garage-friendly. And the "off-roading" I do is primarily dirt/gravel roads and forest trails....Nothing terribly gnarly.

But damn that BDS looks good.

I have the Zone 5.5" lift with Fox shocks in the back. Zone is the sister company to BDS, so it's the same lift essentially. Let me tell you the lift and truck for that matter can take a beating. Went full air born and only needed an alignment. Just watch this clip:

In South Florida, I'm seeing the same prices. 1000-1200 depending on the shop for the BDS with Coilover install trim/weld as needed, align, mount and balance. About to pull the trigger. Wanted 35's but will have to settle for 33's since I keep my stuff like luggage... forever! 2018 MiniMax, BDS Coilover, Duramax Tuner, 18x10 970's on Toyo MT's sporting tow mirrors. Might have to add a winch and snorkel on the next pass but they are needed!

I figure if I put it in writing... it's official and I have to do it :0

Would love to hear from the guys that have been running BDS for a while... How's the ride on and off-road? How many miles you have on the lift and would you do anything differently?

I see plenty of rough country lifts being upgraded to BDS. I have yet to find one BDS truck that switched to RC.

i have ~15000 miles on it. little bit worse turning radius, but that's expected. Drives like stock on the highway/lite trails. The biggest thing is i probably would've picked different tires that are more highway oriented since i drive a lot. I'm running Toyo open country AT2's LT295/55R20. I think i might try Michelin LTX in a P275/60R20 next.

Thanks Dan1! I’ll be 80% as a daily but my 20% off-road is in the swamp. So MTs are a must for me.

2018 Quicksilver GMC Canyon 4x4 minimax
BDS 6” fox coil over and rears
Moto 970 machined face
18 x 10 4.5 backspace -24 offset
Toyo MT 33/12.5/18
Duramax tuner

8k should do it! Same rig with a bulletproof 8inch on 35s is 12k

Please donate to my new sickness so we can build this ??
