Just had them installed on my stock 15' Z71. LOVE them! No noticeable decline in feel or performance. 100% better in appearance. It was very difficult to find a firm answer whether they would rub or not so that is why I posted.

Glad to see they work.

Why couldnt you get a firm answer? Since the 265-65-17 is the same sized that comes on the Trailboss I figure they shouldnt rub. Or else customers would be complaining.

Just wasn't as easy to search as other issues I have had. I did finally find one thread but it just seemed there were a lot of conflicting posts and I still am unsure if I could have gone with the 265-70-17's so I just played it safe.

I've been searching for a proper answer to this question for a while now because I want to order some Ko2 for when I get delivery of the truck in the next couple weeks. I didn't even know that was the OEM size on the trail boss.

Do we need to adjust the speedo for the different tire size or is it close enough to the OEM 255/65 that it doesn't change much?

I imagine they change it, although it is very close anyway.

Congrats - they are great tires.

I have over 20k miles on my Duratracs now, and they have done well. There is more road noise and rolling resistance, but it hasn't been bad. Considering how well they have done offroad compared to the stock tires I've been very happy. Speedo didn't change any for me, still tracks by GPS as being correct.

No. I asked my service writer about it and he gave me the impression it was going to be pricey. I have already forgotten about the 2mph difference which I'm sure will come back to bite me in the butt lol.

That is ridiculous. They don't have to re-flash the system with new software. They can just change the tire size setting using the scan tool. Shouldn't take more than 5 minutes. My dealer did this before I even picked mine up since I found some 18" take-offs and had them put on before I took delivery. I think that they can only pick from the factory offered sizes but that doesn't matter in this case.

what air pressure are you guys running in the Duratracs, 40? Max is 51.

I know it's not the same truck, but in my tacoma with 285/75/16s I run 40 up front and 37 in the back for even wear. I recommend doing the chalk test (drawing a line with chalk and driving 50-100 feet and checking it) to see what works best for your truck.

You can get more MPG with excess air in them, but they won't wear evenly and you'll end up replacing the tires sooner.
