:grin2: or :crying:

I'm really glad I bought my 2018. Not quite as bad as the design butchering of the 2019 Camaro, but I don't want my truck to look like a minivan/SUV in the front. Too rounded in my opinion... I do have driver's side entry-assist handle envy and new 6-way power seat envy. I'll probably buy a driver's handle if it can be retrofitted. Maybe the US-spec will have a slightly different design..

Agreed... that did go through my mind and I know the Holden 2018 version is a bit different that the USDM version. But it looks like the sheet metal for the headlight outer corners is different. the rest is all just plastic.

My wife just hates the seats in the 2018 colorado zr2... May be worth a seat swap in the future... I'm taking a lot of flak about it. But then she's comparing them to the seats in her X5 so yeah...

But the rounded fender openings makes it look a bit ford-ish.

I'm still considering waiting, just because there's so much truck refresh happening in 2019 (return of the ranger, silverado and ram updates, etc) that I'm thinking we may see some great pricing deals or perhaps get up-optioned "free" upgrades on lower trim Colorados, as they kind of already did on the 2018s with the bigger screen and android auto even on the base. Or, worst case scenario, a deal on "leftover" 2018s once the 2019s start hitting dealers.

I don't this this will be how the US version will look like, It looks like a concept with all the available options - for show

wheel wells look the same as the current ones, not able to fit larger tires, or they hit on the front and back of fenders
I like the shifter

ZRToo, why do you make your wife sit in the back?

Dog sits up front.... lol

j/k though. Wife hates the front seats. She has longer legs than I do. I think the seats are fine.

How bout some ZR2 content....

New rig... this is all the dirt it's seen so far...

Yeah, if the next gen Colorado’s look like the video...I’ll be buying something else when the time comes...
No Ridgeline/minivan looking truck for me...

The front fenders look even more restrictive/retarded than the existing wheel wells, and GM screwed the pooch BIGTIME on the 15-18s already.

I would not get too worked up over this truck. The NA market trucks generally differ in a number of areas. Note the bed here is the low side overseas bed we will not see. The wheel base is shorter as they use a shorter frame. Note there is no space between the wheel wells and the cab inside the bed.

Also they have used a number of interior changes and a different front clip.

Let’s just see what happens.

The mild refresh could still be in 2020 but this summer we should see the mules testing. Changes will not be major if or when they come but they should deliver two years till the new model comes.

Hot weather testing starts in about a month so watch and if we see something we will know they have something coming but no mules will tell up it may be another year.

Nice bullshit video I just watched. Nice fish eye lens. Sucks! How come you don't get to see the actual truck without it all being bent to **** by the lens? ******* promotional people. They suck. >:)
To the OP, I would like your thread, but I can't anymore. The button is still broken. Thanks for the info though. :grin2:

that actually looks more like a Holden, and reading thru the press release on it, it looks like its a Taiwanese chevy since in that article thats what they've said in it. dont think that will be for us, here in NA

I was planning on getting a 2019 but several factors changed my mind and made me get a 2018.....
I just got $6260 off MSRP on 2018 ZR2 fresh built in June 2018.........couldn't be happier with that deal.

*Discounts are big on the 2018s and getting a 2019 is not going to garner the big discounts until much later after release
*Little change in the 2019s
*All the tariff wars going on scares me on what will happened with prices in the near future.......a lot of these parts come from other countries and will do nothing but jack up the price of the vehicle.

AFAIK, tariffs only affect import of pre-assembled vehicles. Shouldn't have any issue on a domestic production Colorado, as they make those puppies in Missourah.

One of the things I don't like about that design is that it, like the 2019 full size trucks, is going back to a rounded fender well. The squared off look is what set GMC/Chevy apart from all other trucks. And that look really grew on me.

But I believe the twins are not going to see that new design until 2022? Anyhow I'm very happy with my 2017.

This is not the US spec 2019 Colorado. This is the Colorado for the overseas market and the exterior, interior, powertrains, and I believe even frame designs are not shared with the U.S. version, although not all is vastly different either.

The 2019 Colorado is getting minor updates, which include a 6 way power seat and infotainment upgrades. Not really worth waiting on a 2019 if you want a truck now and have found a good deal on a 2018. (although, if that 6 way seat includes a power base by chance, that would be a nicely wanted upgrade)

Based on what I've seen, and also based on the typical time span a generation of vehicle lasts these days, I'd expect a new generation of GM mid-size trucks around 2022 or 2023 time frame. But I would also expect a refresh before then, to come next year for 2020 or 21 at the latest. I'd be shocked if GM kept the same front and rear end on these trucks up through the next generation....but I guess anything is possible.

My opinion is that is way too long. They need updated power trains, better MPG and lots of new tech to compete. Granted the tech may be easy. As far as frame and exterior, I don't care as much as I do for mechanical improvements.
