Yeah, that makes zero sense to me. Just use one battery big enough to do the job and be done with it. Batteries set up in parallel always seem to kind of fight each other (shortening their lifespan), and it's more electrical crap to go wrong. I hope they stopped that. Unless....that was their sneaky way of telling you that all you had to do was remove that battery to kill the ASS feature....hmmm...
Yeah, don't even get me started on current day Chrysler/Stellantis quality control(less) BS. I WAS a Jeep owner for 40+ years. Never again. People b!tch about GM quality? Brother, you ain't seen nothing unless you know how pathetic it is over at Chrysler.

Tracking device? Did you know about that when you bought it?
Some Dealerships install a Tracking Device in case it is Stolen from their Lot.
But, sometimes they are forgotten/not able to be removed before sold

My original battery didn’t last the 3 years. Luckily it was still under warranty 👍🏼
My Uncle had a AC Delco Battery fail on the Last Day of the Warranty when he had his Caprice Wagon
Then it was a 30 Day Warranty

My "Certified Used " 2020 battery failed on one of the hottest days in Texas last year. After a jump start from a good Samaritan, I booked to the dealership, where they told me that it wasn't covered under the warranty ( we only check to see if it will start before we sell the used vehicles ' ) so I had to shell out for a new battery. ( apparently, it was the original battery for my 2020 LTCC). I was lucky that they had a battery, because it was in the midst of all the 3rd Gen battery drains !

Any pix of the rod?
I think I stumbled across a couple of my '69 somewhere, I'll have to dig them up and scan them. All the pics from my 12 married years (including some of the Charger) are with the Evil X1. It wasn't much to look at (needed paint and some very minor bodywork - some small dents but no rust), but after the new tranny and posi rear ran pretty good.

2024 Colorado Z71 bought new in June 2024. I had past issues with the blank screens (both), engine light coming on within a month of purchase, turn signal, front camera for adaptive cruise, etc.

Was towed to dealer on 10/21/2024 for it being totally dead. They switched out the battery. On July 5, 2025, truck was dead again. Towed to dealer. They suspected something was draining the battery. They replaced the ABS module, but couldn't program it since it also needed a new wheel sensor, which was out of stock EVERYWHERE. Didn't get the truck back until Aug 28, 2025. Yesterday AM, when to start my truck to go to work, and it clicked then nothing. Had it towed AGAIN back to dealer. Luckily all 3 times were in my driveway. I had an open case for the 2nd tow, which is still open.

I have NOT installed any 3rd-party equipment on this truck (I'm not that technical when it comes to that stuff) so it is all stock.

I am beyond frustrated with this POS! I cannot trust going anywhere with this, let alone taking my family. Anyone have similar issues? GM doesn't care, and all I get is 'We are sorry. We understand your frustration, blah blah blah'. No action, only excuses. Love making payments on something that is in the shop all the time. I have never had to take my wifes' 2015 Nissan Rogue in for issues, just regular servicing (oil, tire rotation, etc).

Anyone have thoughts on this situation. I am so beyond frustrated and crickets from both dealer and GM.

Thanks,
Rob
I'm pretty sure this technical service bulletin could help with your problems
