Gotta ask, why have GMC and Chevy? They are the same only some decals and badging. Wouldn't it be easier to focus on just One of them?
Being in the same boat in regard to age... I always thought the 2015 -2019 Colorado was smiling at me. They opened up the bottom of the grill in 2020 which makes it look more like a real truck. Certainly prefer the Canyon for that reason... looks like a tough truck instead of a reworked Equinox. With regard to our trucks, the exterior styling between the two lines is quite different. It is an easy way to appeal to more buyers with a minimum of additional expense. Being a cranky old man, I prefer the Canyon's boxier styling![]()
That's not unique to WW2 jeeps, as most military vehicles and trucks don't have keys.WW II jeeps didn’t have ignition cylinders (or keys). Switch on the ignition and push the starter button.
It was for cars. GMC didn't start sharing its truck platforms with Chevy until 1920.I've always thought it was CHEVROLET - PONTIAC - OLDSMOBILE - BUICK - CADILLAC(top end)
Fit and finish would be the same, as they are built on the same assembly line. Certain Canyons have nicer interior trim but that is about the only differenceI sometimes wonder what the differences is fit-and-finish would have been between the two brands, had I realised the ads were indeed for GMC Canyons.
