That is indeed true - the internet is a platform for people to complain. However new models typically have 'growing pains' and according to some stories I have recently read, quality issues have been plaguing all the automakers.
Henry Ford revolutionized the industry when he developed the assembly line. He also made everything in house, which meant he relied on no one else, only his own employees to produce his vehicle. In the past 30 years, the companies have moved away from that model and today's companies only make engines, transmissions and major body panels in house, relying on vendors to supply everything else. Many of those suppliers are over seas (Read: China) and control on quality becomes problematic. This method was pioneered by the Japanese, but in their case, the suppliers were still located in Japan, a relatively small country with very high standards when it comes to manufacturing. Parts for American vehicles come from all over the world.
