drove 180 miles this morning to pull tree stands and cameras before the storm hits.

on the 180 miles on the way home, I got stuck behind the brining truck for 25 miles of 2 lane highway.

Our last day is tomorrow. No stands or cameras to pull. I've been working on making the property around my my house a wildlife paradise. My last six bucks were shot either from the garage upstairs or the kitchen.
I'm just not into cold and wet like I used to be.

Since I traded for a new 24' Zr2 (non bison) 2 weeks ago since I was off for the holidays, it's been busy, it went straight to get Xpel wrap on the whole front end from the doors forward and black mirrors, ceramic coating installed, black badging got installed there. I got it back Monday. installed bed cover, bedrug, bed cargo lights, floor liners, back passenger area door/seat protector in the complete back seat area (for tools not dogs). last accessory went on today. installed the removable step assists.

Still no smartphone or digital camera for Christmas?:)

biggest flex of the auto 4x mode yet. We got a few inches overnight, but I still had to get out here. I need a solution to get a few hundred LBs in the bed for days like this.

Not sure why you need to add weight
If you have a Good Set of tires (not sure what is coming on them now)
I tend not to even use 4WD in any form unless it is really bad

I never added weight either but always had winter tires.
Hardly used 4wd for the most part unless it was real deep snow, I think I used it more to get out of a parking spot after being plowed in.
That being said, I seem to click on auto 4wd more often now, ever since the trucks started to come with it. Adds a little confidence while driving and provides better escape traction.

I really need to wash the salt, dust and grime off of it; being retired now (first winter) I no longer have the luxury of washing it whenever I please in a heated bay LOL

I can’t stand Porches, but that’s actually pretty cool. Is that one of those AWD models?
There's a documentary on Prime about this. Watched it the other night.
I kinda kept expecting to see the Morrvair or Trailmater come along and pass them while they were winching

I saw a video probably 20 years ago where one of the car and driver type magazines took two AWD porshes equipped with AT tires on a moderate offroad trail and there were places where they actually performed better than the Ford Explorer chase vehicle they used for camera crew 🤣.
