Afternoon all.
I'm looking to add a set of blue lights to the front or interior. Front would be in the grill, smaller ones to keep them hidden. Possibly a set towards the rear also.

Anyone have any experience with this?

For the most part and obviously all local and state laws apply, colored lights, wigwags, and sirens are legal for volunteer FF's. Many years ago, I was volunteer FF in a very small town in Rhode Island. We ran sirens, wigwags, reds, blues and ambers on our cars and trucks. Seems like most people won't move over for red lights, you need more.

I know someone who clipped a car with their truck as they passed it responding and had to dodge an oncoming car.

Not only were they at fault for it, but their insurance did not cover it. It was like 15 years ago and he still has wage garnishments.

Since then only the fire chief has lights and they run insurance through the city.

Something to consider.

Send me a PM, I have dash light mounted high at rearview mirror and two lights in the grill. As you said hidden from sight mostly but clear as day when activated. If I can I will send you a video of my set up.

Tele-Rad is a radio upfitter in Michigan that collaborated with Jared from Wrench Every Day on his pursuit Charger Ute. I don't think they mentioned any of the lights specifically, but maybe if you reached out they could point you in the right direction.

Video of the sweetness.
