I’m happy. GM even preplanned the hole for the switch lol. For $18, couldn’t really go wrong. Where I put the strip on the hood shines the light down and back, so it doesn’t shine in your eyes.
The only thing I thought was weird is that the fuse is at the pin end, not the battery end. So if any of the wire shorts out, the fuse will blow, but there would still be power on the wire, with the potential of it heating up and causing a fire. I was thinking about moving the fuse location…probably should.

Just finish installing mine I wrapped mine with the same material as GM uses for wire wraps and even put in a quick disconnect plug. Haven't seen it in the dark yet, but it should be plenty as I have used this same set up as a trunk light for the wife's Camaro

 

Where did you get your power from?
