Do you think that camera mount is tall enough or could stand to be raised with some additional Bulletpoint parts?
Good question. I haven't used it yet, so just ran out and popped the camera in. Looks like it'll work for my use, but the scoop on the ZR2 might obstruct the view a bit.

I'll check it out within the next day or two. If it does sit too low, I can add a riser or another Ram 2" coupler to dial it in. Only going to run it when off-road. Always like to watch footage after I get home, always something comes up and I don't have time to grab my phone to get a pic of it. Do the same while kayak fishing.

Here's a quick pic with a camera installed, to get an idea on the height. The power cord won't be where it is in the pic.

Needed something for storage, got sick of crap on the back seat.

Got a Pelican BX135 and it fits perfect between the fender wells, with enough room to anchor it to the lower tie down. I wanted something that could be easily removed when I need to put the kayak in, or need the bed space.

Need to figure out a secure mounting solution, so I don't have to leave it in the garage every time I need to park the truck somewhere. For the time being, just plan on using a couple stainless turnbuckles. If anyone has any good ideas, to securely mount to the tie down, let me know.

Very Nice! But hard to believe that you paid about 25k more than I did for my 2016 ZR1. Nice to see it gets used! I would be allover a new Col but can't get passed the 4 door short bed chit.

Lol, unfortunately 57k is the new 32k.

Vehicles, especially trucks, have gotten ridiculously overpriced, and doubt they'll be coming down anytime soon.

Enjoy your ZR1, wanted one in the gray metallic years ago. After sitting in one, it wasn't for me, but awesome cars.

How's the view on that camera?
I was about to go with the same rig until I read the BulletPoint seemed to be a 20mm socket vs RAM's (B) 25.4mm. I'm trying to avoid any future mismatching of arms, etc. That Badlands and BulletPoint gear is definitely superior gear.

All of your mods and accessories are top notch. I appreciate you taking the time to share your stuff.

One more question..is the Bose grille plastic?

50% tint on the front window! How do you find night time driving?

I had 70% on my Tacoma. It was really nice during the day, but I found it quite dark at night. Especially outside of the city where there isn't much lighting.

Was the tint installed with the windshield installed? The tint shops in my city both warned me about water getting in the dash. Both places I called recommended having the tint installed before installing the new windshield. That was the route I went. It got smashed by a rock, so now I'm back to no tint on the windshield. It is much nicer at night time.

After trying the camera, like you mentioned, it was too low and catching too much of the dash. Decided to add a 360 extension and it sits perfect now and can raise it another 2", if needed.

Here's the extension I went with. It does the job.

Here's the view i'm getting through the GoPro

Yes, the Bose grille is plastic. I pulled it off to paint the Bose badge and dash grille.

I had the same concerns with the 20mm balls, but BulletPoint products have been used with the off-road community for a while now, and I feel comfortable with them. I won't be using them for iPads or anything heavier than my phone. So far, no issues, but i'll see how they do next weekend. Got a little trip planned.

Here's a sample of the setup. It'll have a different GMRS radio, just put this one on to figure out placement. Using a magnet mount so will be flexible on what I can mount on it.

No issues with the 50% at night. Never heard of any place tinting windshields off the vehicle.

Not sure what you're referring to about the water in dash. If they're talking about the spray during install, most installers just use rags on the dash.

The purpose is to keep your phone somewhere thats easy access while driving.

When i'm using something like OnX, it kills my phone battery fast. The phone charge pad in these trucks is in a shitty location and a PITA to get to the phone. So, I keep it plugged in and mounted to where I can operate without taking my eyes off the trail. I can also use the phone for navigation and keep the infotainment screen free for other tasks.

But why do you need to get to the phone? The car displays texts. You can send back texts from the car infotainment by dictating. You can call and get calls with voice command. Why? And it'll do carplay right? I just don't get it.

That color is really growing on me & it’s definitely unique in a good way. Your mods are functional, which appeals to me. Good stuff! 👍🏻

I like your set up, but wondering how comfortable it is while driving in terms of field of vision. I already find the dash high with the Info screen.
I still like using my Garmin and always mounted low on every other truck/car below the windshield (got a good signal)
The dash configuration on this truck doesn't allow me to get a signal.
