I have a 2021 Canyon with the V6 engine and the 8-speed transmission. Next month will be two years since I bought my truck. Up until last week, the truck has been problem free. On Friday of last week, I got a "Service Brake Assist" message on my dash display. I took my truck into the dealer to have it checked. They said that they found a short in a relay on my starter, which they replaced. I asked what the starter relay had to do with the brakes. They said that it had nothing to do with the brakes. That was just the message that displayed when the fault occurred. Has anyone else had this experience with a bad starter relay?
