If you have installed amp(s) speakers and sub(s) but kept the HU, this is a must have!
They're not cheap by any means, about $600 retail and about $275-$350 on eBay, but are worth the price of admission. The CleanSweep has 30 bands of equalization per channel and will even out the signals for each channel. The result is a rich full sounding system with incredible stereo separation. I can now hear instruments that I didn't know were even there and it almost sounds like THX surround. Mid bass also has more punch and highs are much clearer without sounding too piercing. All this was coming through the stock 6-speaker set-up pushed by a JL Audio 500/5 amp with a 10" Stealthbox. I upgraded the front door speakers to Boston Acoustic Pro60 components today and in sounds even more incredible. The bell ringing at the beginning of AC/DC's Hells Bells is now a hair raising experience!
I was going to replace the HU but I like having the OnStar and 6-disc in one unit. I also retain the stock appearance and hopefully deter any prying eyes from wanting to break into my truck. The CleanSweep also sounds better than any of the aftermarket HUs I've heard on the market. I would give it a 4.5 out of 5 only beacuse the aux input (for mp3 players, laptop, dvd players etc) does not go through the processor.
