Hello,
Truck is a 2016 Colorado lt 2.5l
about a month ago the engine lite came on. p0420.
Did a little research. basically it means the upstream and downstream 02 sensors are indicating the CC is not functioning properly.
Watched a video that demonstrated how to use a temp gun to see if CC is doing its job. indeed, the output of the CC is about 100 degrees hotter
coming out.
So not wanting to pay a mechanic, I bought two new sensors from the dealer, installed them and cleared the code.
Sadly two days later, code was back. So as one last chance, I bought a new coolant temp sensor. the idea is the computer is always running air/fuel rich and throwing the code.
So currently my problem is I trying to figure out where this sensor is located instead of just taking it apart.
Can anyone help finding this little bugger or advice on fixing the code? Thank you so much in advance.
Other that this, love my Colorado!
