Oil Pressure Sensor/Switch

Hey everyone, new here and have a 2016 GMC Canyon 6cyl.
I have received an Oil Pressure light message on the dash and it fluctuates from 600 then down to -- then back up to 600.It's been confirmed it is an Oil Pressure Sensor issue and I got a new sensor but after taking off the Front L Wheel and Wheel Well cover and to finally access it by the Oil Filter, they gave me the wrong part! (so it may seem)
The connector that I saw on my truck is a round 3 prong connector but the one I got that supposedly is the "only and right one" is a elongated flat connector that clearly doesn't fit.
I just want to make sure:
A: I'm looking in the right place for it
B: the new one I got is right/wrong

Any help is appreciated. I attached pics

UPDATE realized they gave me the one for the GAGE sensor, not the Light sensor.... well maybe this will help others if they have this issue I guess. What a pain

Yeah the 1st picture is the sensor they gave me... which is the wrong one and they are telling me that would have worked if I had a gage sensor.
The link you provided is definitely the one I need and matches the existing connector in the second picture from the unit itself

Huh? Never heard of there being two oil pressure sensors. Oil pressure and oil level, sure.

The oil pressure sending unit for 2015-16 is 2004-2018 GM Oil Pressure Sending Unit 12674782 | TascaParts.com and the connector matches what's in your second pic.

What you have in your hand seems to be the oil pressure sensor for the 2017-up LGZ 3.6 V6, you have an LFX 3.6 V6. The sensors are different.

Can you provide the part number on the sensor they gave you? That will help confirm things.

Part number of the one they gave me was from NAPA "OP7623"

Oh, Napa. Well, there you go. Napa has been notorious for having the wrong cut-off years in the computer or counter workers that miss details when searching. At least in my experience.

This is probably the one you need if buying from Napa. https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/ECHOP6887

Ohh ya.. it was not a fun experience with them.
That's correct, that was the part that I just picked up from them after hours of headache. Thanks for your help!
