Did you check the fuses? Have you done any mods that might affect them? And finally, have you pulled the bulbs to make sure they're good?

You can test the wiring by removing the bulbs, starting the engine, turning on a signal, and sticking a wet finger into the bulb's socket. If you get a intermittent shock, it's fine. If you get a continuous shock, you have a issue.

 

Or you could use your multimeter if your scared of getting a little shock

 

I haven't checked the fuses, that is my next step. I've not done any mods at all so the wiring and fuses are untouched. The wet finger idea is an interesting one, I'll have to try that one if the fuse check comes up with nothing.

 

I just checked the fuse. All things look good under there. No problems. It's too dam cold and dark out to try the ol' wet finger trick. I'll save that for tomorrow when it's light out. :?

Oh, another question while i'm at it, if i don't have factory fog lights, why would i have one of the fuses for them. There should be two, according to the diagram, but for some reason, i have one of them. The big grey one. Not a big deal, just wondering.

Now that you mention it, I am going there to have a window actuator replaced. Looks like they just got another thing added to their to-do list!

 

well use your hand signals for the time being! dont get a ticket for that!! WEll i guess you could take that ticket to chevy and go HEY fix my taillights you and pay for this ticket you caused me to get! haha

 

Check ALL your fuses. Mine has the factory installed trailer towing package. The module shorted out and took out 4 or 5 other fuses. The big hint for me was no back lighting on the heater\AC controls.

 

I just got the truck back from the dealer. I had it in for a broken radio and window actuator. They told me it was a shorted bulb that was causing it.
