Center Console Organizer

Hey everyone. I ordered a bar caddy from amazon to organize my center console. It was too large at first but I cut out the napkin holder portion of it using a jigsaw and now it fits like a glove. No play at all. Use a little sandpaper to smooth out the edges so you don't scratch up your console. Just under $8 so a pretty inexpensive mod. Click on pics and link. Works for me really well. Hope this helps some of you out.

Does this fit snugly on the bottom of the armrest? I just got my colorado and transferred all the stuff I had in my Accord and now it's all sitting in a big pile in my armrest. Really looking for something to organize it all!

That looks nice. I may have to consider it. With the design there, a small tray could sit on top of this to add a 2nd level if we can figure out a way to keep it from rattling.

I read someplace the deep console bin was purposely left free of trays, dividers so as to accommodate an electronic tablet. But a more functional solution would have been to provide the trays, coin holders, partitions and for those users with tablets they could simply remove them. How much more would it have cost for GM to do that? Darn bean counters!
Honda (the only other one I have experience with) does the opposite. They provide these sweet little extras and if you want to remove them for your own purposes..so be it.

Bean counters have to cut somewhere to justify their jobs. Here, apparently the center console bean counters beat the hood prop rod bean counters... I remember my '95 Chevy Blazer had an old school prop rod to keep the hood open. And GM said that it saved something like $5 on the cost of the vehicle (in '95 dollars) over putting in hydraulic openers in the hood. That same Chevy Blazer had not just one but TWO removable trays in the center armrest. (It also had coin holder slots just in front of the cup holders, if I recall correctly.) My 2015 Canyon SLT is, of course, just the opposite - hydraulic opener on the hood and ZERO organization in the center armrest... Really not a big deal, as I'm able to organize my stuff just fine. But the prop rod never bothered me in the old Blazer either.

Bought these small containers at Staples for $3 each. They're called "Really Useful Box" and measure about 3Âľ"W x 5â…ś"L x 3"H. They fit nicely in the center console and are easy to remove. Probably could stack 3 in there, but I started with 2 and put the most frequently used stuff in the top container.

Thank you, spent an hour looking for just this item the other night (and I'm the one who usually finds what I'm looking for fairly easy) but your link saved from having to search even more!

Why is it that frequently pictures are not view-able? Is it because the thread is old? Maybe I don't have enough posts of my own to qualify?

In this case, it's because it was only ever a product link to Amazon, and never a picture post.
The other issue possibly having to do with picture viewing may be due to Photobucket turning off all free third party image hosting, as my signature alludes to, which was also popular with Amazon and eBay too.

I'm sure many have seen this thread, but this is also a low cost solution if you just want space for coins, a small LED flashlight, pen, note paper, etc.

Thanks! Just ordered it. It'll sit on top of the one linked in the first post (just got that in the mail yesterday)
