Alright, this is not going to be a "hit piece" or a complaint about the LED's. I simply want to outline my thoughts/experience with the lights for any future potential buyer to consider.

Originally I was going to pick-up the GTR Ultimate Lighting 2's for my Colorado but I ended up going with the S-V.4 LED's from Headlight Revolution. I made this decision for a host of reasons but primarily they were a little cheaper and were reported/demonstrated to perform very similarly on HR's Youtube video's.

Fit/Finish:

The finish on these bulbs is fantastic and they come in some pretty great packaging too. They're aluminum and have a little bit of weight to them so they feel like quality when you hold them. I can definitely say that compared to Alla Lighting, LasFit, or Cougar Motor LED's these definitely feel like they are better assembled.

Installation:

Super easy install; direct one-to-one replacement. No fuss's or complaints here. All wiring fit within the headlight and I was able to resecure the dust covers without issue.

Brightness:

Here is where I ran into my disappointment. The LED's are slightly brighter than the stock headlights but they are not substantially brighter to the point where I would find the difference obvious. The below pictures were taken with my DSLR on the same shutter, aperture, and ISO settings. The photos were shot in RAW format, imported into Lightroom and exported as JPEG's without any edits besides general sharpening:

As you can see there is an obvious color shift, which is great, but not an obvious brightness shift. As measured on my camera, the S-V.4's were 1 full stop of light brighter than the stock halogens. The most obvious difference in brightness is to the far left and right of the garage where on the left you can see the tree/lawn on the side of my house is better lit and to the right where the bush is better lit.

My conclusions:

It is my opinion that when you buy the S-V.4's, what you're really buying is the warranty/promise to replace if they go bad within 2 years and the packaging. The performance of the S-V.4's is on par with Amazon brands such as: LasFit; Cougar Motor; Hikari; Nineo II. The S-V.4 LED's perform slightly dimmer than 35w 6000K HID's and in my opinion I would honestly just recommend HID's if you wanted the brightest lights you could get. If you go the HID route though you'll have to drill out your dust covers.

If you're determined to stay with LED for the ease of installation; save yourself some money and just buy them off of Amazon.

Last I knew the only people who make US led headlamps was Diode Dynamics.

Others such as the one you purchased were resold from China or heavily based on a random China design. Of course you’ll still get the advantage of the better warranty from a US company so it’s not all bad.
