I like those screens a lot. My truck is feeling sick and must go to the dealer for some medicine....or updates!

 

What is this icon? I have never seen it on my truck.

And many of those screens look different from what shows up on mine. Can you take a pic of the software version?

Its one of those things - I will probably never use 99% of those features, but if it comes with the truck, then it would be nice to see them.

 

That icon is the weather map app that I loaded from the play store. You can drag and drop apps to the sidebar. That used to be where apple play was but I found you can long press the home icon to jump to apple play.

That's wild! I'd love to have that Gauges screen on my Canyon... those are my most-viewed stats on the truck, but they're all on different pages.

I don't care much for the video apps ( the only time I watched a movie on my tablet was during a black out )
I do like the new look of the vehicle status.
Going to see what happens with the long press home button.. easter egg find

 

Sitting in truck now. My screen definitely doesn't look like that. Tried finding that weather app from the logo but didn't see anything remotely similar.

 

It has to be downloaded, ( downloaded apps are the only ones you can delete later )
The rest of the changes to the display must be due to the dealer update he mentioned earlier.

 

Woah, that gauge screen is fantastic. Hoping the 23s get it too.

 

Now to figure out if its an android update or a firmware update ..

I think you will have to ask your dealer, I don't remember which android I started with when I got my 23 in Feb, I would have to check the build date to puzzle it out.
I don't think its the android system that gave the new gauge look. I have to see my dealer for another fuel injection recall/update (it will be the second one done to my truck) I will ask them to check for further updates.

I just noticed something with the new guage set up display. The old version, the was an arrow to each, which would give you the option to add to the dic. Don't see the arrow (?)
I wonder if you can scroll the gauges on the dic like the gen2 now (?)

Still to be tested on my part, going to re activate Android Auto on my phone so it connects to the truck, then see if a long press will start AA since his starts Apple Play.

 

I have the 2 things that say Andriod off, cause I do not have an andriod, should they be on to download?

as far as I can tell mine did something once, while driving the whole screen went blank then came back up with the word ANDRIOD then went back to normal

 

I'm far from understanding all of this, but my logic. It has nothing to do with what type of phone you have, the base system of the truck is android based. From the stock Google Maps, keyboard selection etc all seem android. The apps you can add to the base infotainment system are from the play store (android)

The only difference between phone type (android vs apple) is whether Android Auto or Apple Play is accessible

Not trying and don't want to highjack this thread but I have to ask this question. In the OP's pictures I noticed what appears to be the same issue I'm seeing/having. On the temperature control knobs (that displays the set temperature). It appears that the temperature is displayed but the red (hot) and the blue (cold) on the top of said knob is not lit up. Maybe it's just the angle of the picture? On my 24 ZR2 the red and blue bars come and go intermittently. Sometimes their on, sometimes their off. The temperature has always displayed. Wondering if anyone else has seen this or having this issue. Sorry for the highjack.

 

I’ve never seen mine light up. Further off topic I have a cat named Vader. She’ll rub on your legs and then change her mind half a second later and make you bleed!

 

I would guess its due to the ambient light inside the cab.

Mine looks like residentnonresidents above post 43 and house wifi is connected right now.
I have checked every day for over a week and says the same thing. I drive the truck every day..

 

Someone up thread mentioned EV. The loaner I had was an EV and I did connect my google profile. I wonder if that enabled the EV things to do while you charge feature for both vehicles. Hmmmm. Anyone have a friend with a GM EV to try it?
