So i went to a truck parts store to buy a cargo net and some bull rings. well i saw a display they have about window tinting products called Llumar. They have a demonstration booth with the different levels of tint mounted on a circle that runs and behind is hot bulb. So you put your hand behind to check how much hot it gets after the tint. Then there was this transparent thing and i thought it was just to fill how hot the bulb gets.

well i was mistaken is a think called Llumar air 80 and i was pretty surprised that it didnt felt hot. The sales guy was not very good and couldn't explain me how it work he just told me how much it will cost to put it on the windchill $250 and the rest of the colorado will be $200 so a total of $450 to put that film around the car. In texas it gets hot.

so i am wondering if any of you have had that Air 80 clear film installed and if you did like it? i am sold on it after the demonstration booth that i played with, i just want to hear your opinions.

I have it on the windshield of my Canyon. I live in Vegas where it gets a little warm sometimes.
It does work. I do not have to put a towel over the steering wheel when it is parked in the sun.
The only negative, and it is a small one, is that if you have polarized sun glasses it will sometimes change dark colors.
As an example, in certain light the tires of other vehicles will appear to be green or purple. Sometimes the whole tire other times just the highlights.
It does not happen with just regular eyeglasses. My son has polarized contact lenses and he noticed it. The back windows of cars with the factory tinting will look blotchy in certain lights also.
You get used to it, not a big deal. It is perfectly clear with no distortion after it cures. It takes about 3 days.
I recommend that you go to a shop that does the computer cut out of the film. It fits much better than some one cutting it by hand. There is no gap around the edge with the computer cut film.
Will worth it. As I remember it, it was an additional $125 when I had the 4 doors and back window done to 30%.
The dog was cooking in the back seat with just the factory tint. Adding 30% to the factory tint keeps a the truck much cooler.

You might be talking about the ceramic ****.
I just had my windows tinted a couple weeks ago, and they gave me the options of having whatever the 'regular' tint is, and 'Ceramic', which was $150 more($350 vs. $210).
I was told that the ceramic **** blocks out a lot more heat(and maybe UV) than regular tint. Maybe that's the shizznit in Nevada and Arizona, but where I'm at(Kalifornistan-the southern part) I'm just fine thank you with the regular crap.

I put this on my windshield and lumar ctx 15 on the fronts. The air 80 does have a blue hue, and honestly changes the appearance of my cocoa dune interior. The interior doesn't seem as rich, vibrant brown any more. With that said, I'd do it again. I paid $200 as a repeat customer to my local tint shop, hand cut and it's pretty perfect. No need for machine cut if the installer is a true professional. The front windows with the 15 are a near match to the back sides, practically dead on.

This my be a dumb question, but does the Llumar 80 film go on the inside or outside of the windshield? Also, does it look blotchy if you wear polarized sunglasses? I was quoted $200 for the front windshield and both front side windows.
