Has anyone experienced one of the two roof seals being loose on the end as it turns toward rear window? What did you do to fix this? I used to work at a Chevy dealer and know first-hand that the tech's will probably just try to super-glue it. Which I already tried and does not work.

Take it to the dealer there are 2 bulletins on it, they'll fix it under warranty.

Mine was loose, and they fixed it no problem.

Super glue is a joke :! :lol
They should clean the surfaces and use the correct 3M adhesive. They may actually replace the whole strip.

04-05 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon Roof Ditch Molding May Become Loose - kw GMT355 trim paint #PIT3112 - (08/13/2004)
The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom described in the PI.

Condition/Concern:
Some Chevrolet Colorado or GMC Canyon pickups may exhibit a condition of the roof ditch moldings being loose at the joint of the front and rear piece; or the rear piece is lifting up at the back bottom edge. As a result of a change in our clearcoat, we are experiencing difficulty with the adhesion of the roof ditch moldings.

Recommendation/Instructions:
When performing pre-delivery inspections, please be sure to visually check that the roof ditch moldings are properly secured. If the ditch molding is loose, follow the steps listed below.

1. Remove ditch molding.
2. Remove the tape from the molding and clean the cavity were the ditch molding rests and the molding itself.
3. Re-tape the molding with 3M double sided tape or equivalent.
4. Use 3M adhesion promoter 3M part number 4298 or equivalent to secure the molding. Make sure the promoter carries into the intersection were the ditch molding travels under the front and rear glass moldings.
5. Tape the molding down at each end and let dry overnight at room temperature.

Note: Contact 3M Products at 800-551-8152 to locate a 3M supplier in the area.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance.
