2015 8" infotainment system did not come with Android Auto. I want to upgrade to a later model, but same "fit' in dash. Any recommendations?

Depends on your budget. Keep in mind that a factory upgrade system needs to be programmed to your VIN/BCM for full factory functionality.

Quite honestly I'd either go alpine aftermarket diy via crutchfield before going oe as an add on option. And yes the gm nav and voice search, even text search, is absolute garbage. They also make you pay for updates...

Buy a garmin refurb with lifetime updates and be done with the nav... aftermarket head unit that supports back up cam and speakers for the audio.

New vehicles aren't as easy for audio installs anymore but with all my previous vehicles and the costs of higher trims off the lot for "better" sound systems makes me laugh. I've done full audio swaps in 6 vehicles now and my bose system is still not on par to 4/6. But growing older now I dont bump it like I used to but with android auto, it's enough for me these days with my 8" screen. Im happy enough. But maybe after my final payment I'll play again...

Would I pay $550 for it if I didnt have it. Hell no. Just my opinion.

I guess im different then the rest, i add the factory stuff to my truck if it didnt have it....My only reason is the clean install....I like it when it looks like it was ment to be....I have nothing against aftermarket radios....ive been there done it, but it just never looks as clean as the factory unit. also when it comes to gps....I hate having the wires running all over the place. I want clean cabin.
