Why do they make it so hard to find the 2/8/22 TSB with the solution? (thanks @theMOBmajor for the screen shot)
Wouldn't it help everyone, including the staff at the dealership, if I could just walk in with PIT5790C (which I can find), and 22-NA-033 (which states right on it that it replaces PIT5790C)?

Does anyone have a clean .pdf copy of 22-NA-033, or know where I can get one without paying a subscription?

So there is no way to update this over the air, or via download and USB yourself? What exactly does the over the air updates accomplish then?
My suspicion is that minor updates can be done over wifi, but that bigger updates, like this one, need to be done at a dealer.

I got my 2020 Z71 in April 2021. Second hand with 1200 miles on it. The full Chevrolet warranty was transferred to me, so I am still under warranty.
The bugs I've noticed (there could be other bugs with features I don't use) involve volume controls randomly locking to "voice volume" when they should be "audio volume". Sometimes after a phone call, sometimes after a "Hey Google" interaction, and sometimes when using Android Auto for navigation. Weird thing on that bug is if I switch the audio source (say, FM to AM, and back), the volume control corrects itself (most times).
The other bug is the black screen, reset, splash screen issue. Can't figure out an exact trigger for this one, and it happens randomly maybe 2 or 3 times a months (hard to quantify really). Sometimes I can just wait it out while driving and it seems to come around, but most times it doesn't correct until the truck is shut off for a period, and then restarted.
I do use Android Auto with the Motorola MA1, so Android Auto starts up automatically every time I get in the truck. (That MA1 is great btw.). The MA1 is not the problem, as these same symptoms occurred before it was installed, both with no phone connected (via Bluetooth or USB), and with my phone connected (via Bluetooth and USB). Android Auto on or off, doesn't matter.
I'm kind of simple with the on-board tech. All I use is FM radio, Android Auto for navigation, and occasional making and receiving telephone calls. I rarely use any other feature.

That got away from me a bit, didn't mean to write such a long set-up.

Anyway, I think I'm going to make the appointment with my dealer, bring TSB 22-NA-033, and ask them to do the flash update to the newest update (V809 or better).
What worries me, is that the flash either won't fix the problem, or it will make it worse.
I could live with it the way it is, although it sucks that it jams up sometimes (and always at the worst times, lol...Murphy's law.). I'm also concerned it will get worse over time, and then I'll find myself out of warranty.
At the same time, if the "fix" makes the problem worse, I will have a real hard time going round and round with Chevy and/or my dealer.

Has anyone had the update done, and STILL had the problems?

I've had some of the same issues. The odd one is occasional, but requires turning truck off. I always use Android Auto with Galaxy S21. Typically Pandora is what I use. Once every few months I'll hear over the Pandora whatever FM radio station the radio is tuned to. At the same time, the GPS indicator for I assume Onstar gets a red circle and cross through it. Anyway, got an appt to get the 809 update installed.

I have a 2021 Equinox Premier, Ive had the red line thru the GPS, the radio playing alone with my setting and FM at the same time, I got the update and confirmed that I actually have it, and those problems still continue. BUT, if you remote start the vehicle by the fob or the phone app and let the vehicle run for about no less than a minute, IT NEVER ACTS UP. been doing this for over a year.

Answered my own question. I found it through my local library resources and research databases.
Apparenetly the TSB was updated 8/2/22.
Here you go for anyone else who wants it.
Thanks for posting this. The bulletin has breakpoints of March of '22 for both of the trucks, which may be incorrect. My '22 Canyon AT4 with factory nav was built at the end of April and still had version 808.1 software. I took it to the dealer for a reflash today. The installed version is now 809.2.
I had been experiencing the occasional reboot with the logo splash screen, so I hope this fixes it.

I wonder if anyone using android are having these issues or just apple? The guy at the dealer told me that apple will not allow GM to get access to their "code" to diagnose the problem..
This is why I will never own products from the Magic Fruit & Unicorn Company.

Never had this issue with 3 Android phones in either the 18 Colorado or my 18 Equinox. Only issues there are the lack of quality cables.

You are lucky then. I have had two friends with Androids have this issue and they also got it fixed by doing the software update.

I had my update on my 22 Canyon (with nav) on Jan 5. Today it did a full reboot with the splash screen, etc while driving and listening to the radio. I have an android phone paired, but there was no activity on it at the time. This was the first instance of it since the reflash.
I have a Garmin dash cam power cord in one of the USB outlets in front of the console, if that makes any difference. Has anyone else had a recurrence since the reflash, or with a truck already built with the new software level (809.2)?

Zero (knocks on wood) issues since my upgrade to the newest software

Thanks for the information. I am new to the site and read this thread, which led me to get the V809.2 update today. I noticed an immediate difference in the sound on calls and the general speed of the infotainment. I had every issue I’ve read about with the radio.

Does this version update show in your About section of your infotainment system? I took mine in yesterday for this update and the system is still rebooting. And when I go in my About section, it is still showing v807. So, I am concerned the dealership didn’t do the correct update. Just curious what your truck shows. When I asked the dealer they got defensive and said they did the right one, but I don’t have the warm and fuzzies about their response.

I'd recommend printing out the TSB referenced in the post above (Infotainment Screen in 2020 Colorado LT...) and bringing it to the dealer and showing them that the version running has not been updated to the new version, they can't argue with facts but they can argue with a customer that they think is wrong with nothing else to prove otherwise.

It would also be helpful for us here on the forums if you updated your profile and/or signature to include your truck's details (Year, make, model, trim) so we can also make sure your truck falls within the years of the bulletin.
