Hey guys, new to the forums.
I've read through quite a few threads about changing out the halogens into leds. I know that the bigger cooling fan ones need the extended dust cap mod. I'm currently not looking to do that, so I AM looking for ones that fit under the stock dust cap.

I live in Saskatchewan, Canada. Quite possibly the harshest winters in Canada. Last 2 days we had a gross dump of snow, icy roads and doors that almost freeze shut.

I'm not looking to spend $150+ CAD on lights. I have the projector style ones.
I noticed a lot of amazon recommendations are not accessible to Canadian amazon buyers like myself.

Any fellow Canadian amazon/colorado owners want to chime in with recommendations? (or any Americans that want to chime in, feel free)

I'm also looking for yellow/3000k 5202 fogs.

So far this is what I've found on canadian amazon.

I think you're going to have some difficulty finding exactly what you want, especially given the color temp you're after and your budget. Only one of the products you linked are close to 3000K and those are the switchbacks, everything else is going to be basically pure white (6000K and up).

Diode Dynamics makes 3000K fog LEDs but those are probably where the "I'm not going to spend $150 on lights" is coming from.

After running LED replacements for my lows, highs, and fogs (all around 6000K) I bit the bullet and bought Diode Dynamics SS3 pods in amber. Huge difference in output, not just visibility.

Wish I could be more help, maybe someone has some resources you haven't come across.

Thanks for the reply!

I just need something better than the stock low beams, it doesn't need to be #1 in the ranking.
Amazon used to sell this Turbo SII brand leds, my 2009 ford escape had 3000k fogs from that brand and they were pretty decent for a reflector light. For some reason that brand is gone.
I would pretty much take any 3000k that is better than the stock fogs. I cant justify anything pricey, I drive to work and home but its dark winter driving so I wanted the 3000k to help stand out during these gross winter flurries.

I COULD settle for the 6000k spectrum though, I noticed my fogs are pretty much trash right now.

Hey!

I live in Saskatoon, I bought Diode Dynamics SL1 (H11) low beams and have used their fog lights as well. They fit behind the dust cap and the difference in light output is night and day.

There's a company here in town that you can buy them from and I highly recommend dealing with these guys

I have Sealight LEDs in my 2017 for 5 years now and happy with them.
Proper cutoff, good light throw, good on center beam and wide side throw and way brighter than stock or even upgrade halogen.

Update:

Been a busy little bit here. I finally got a hold of some Auxito 3000k 5202's. I believe they are just the heat sink ones which is fine with me. I work at a trades school and a lab tech that works with this type of stuff said heat sinks will work better than something with a fan because of the potential failure of a fan in an enclosed space is high. Something about how fans just move hot air around but isn't the greatest application for cooling. He used to work for Brabham motor sports or something in the UK so I trust his advice.

Was about to order the Fahrens, then about to order the Auxito YS13's for low beams. But might just settle for the Sealight X1 or S1's.

Will install tomorrow with pics. It's just too frickin cold and windy here 6.8F / -14c but feels like -7.6F/-22c

That was hell.

Driver side wheel well liner had 1 rusted out screw that i could not remove. Could only remove the bottom 2, giving me very limited space to work with.

I was able to easily remove the old bulb. The new led did not clip in easily. It took approximately 30-45 minutes playing with it.

The passenger side had the exact same issue. I experimented by swapping the red O-rings from the old bulb onto the new. Oddly this seemed to make it work because it clipped in on the next try. I was pushing like a mad man trying to get both in, it just wouldn't clip in. I don't know what the issue was, so for now I'll say it was the O-ring

The lights seem evenly distributed, no scatter. They are a perfect golden yellow, no green tint. The image may not accurately show it.

They are significantly brighter than factory bulbs. They illuminate all the ice and snow formations on the road. The factory ones didn't do a great job of that.

Next step are the low beams.

Calgarian chiming in here.. I'm jealous by everyone's reports of LED's lasting multiple years. I've been running LEDs since the truck was new, and I've had to switch them out every 2 years due to flickering, fans stopping, and chips burning out. I've gone through a bunch of amazon brands, and have swapped out a few generally due to performance or color. I personally like the 4000 kelvin look more than the cool blue at 6k. I think I've been the most happy with the sealights, although they died 1 month after warranty expired. Running the hikari's right now. Went through a bunch of LED fogs, and went back to the stock halogens with lamin-x yellow vinyl instead. I found the regular bulbs went further, and the warmth helped rid the ice build up down there.

How bad is your ice build up ? I'm in SK and I keep a spray bottle of windshield de-icer rags to clean off the headlights, fogs and tail lights. Ive never had issues with ice on my fogs.

Auxito fogs from aliexpress as amazon did not carry them. SK climate will really test these out since we get maybe the coldest winters and the wicked hot summers lately.

I'm late with this update. I ended buy buying Sealight H11 from Amazon

These Auxito 5202 3000k

And so the end result looks like this.

I don't often use the fogs unless it's on poorly lighted roads or bad weather conditions. They are incredibly bright.

The Sealight H11s Leds are a significant improvement from the factory halogens.
