GM is working on a laundry list of issues with infotainment systems in recent models. They range from the screen going black to loss of audio to connectivity issues. The problems were widespread enough for GM to release dealer bulletin PIT6362 indicating that it’s currently working on resolving the issues.

The affected GM vehicles with problematic infotainment systems are all from the 2024 and 2025 model years, spanning the Chevy, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac brands. They include all full-size trucks and SUVs (both gas and electric, except the Hummer EV), midsize trucks, and compact and midsize crossovers (including EVs). The affected infotainment systems are identified by RPO codes IVD and IVE.
Owners will need to be patient as GM comes out with Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) to fix all of these ongoing issues. Dealers are instructed not to replace the infotainment system itself in affected vehicles, as it will likely have the same problems until a solution comes down from GM.

Whenever im mildly annoyed by a screen or tech failure, I remind myself of the millions of people who dont even have enough food to eat, any decent health care, or a warm and dry place to live. Ive traveled through plenty of developing countries where good hardworking people had none of these things. A steering wheel button, app, or map on one of my many screens is so insignificant that its laughable to complain.
Yes it should work on a new truck, but it isn't worth me wasting any time, anxiety, or anger over.

Did my s/w update on Fryday (Sep 5)....didn't drive it again until Tuesday (Sep 9). Noticed that the instrument cluster has changed?! I lost my engine oil and tranny temp gauges. It now shows, not 1 but 2, trip odometers. Everything seems to be working ok.....always get spooked every time they impose one of those updates...

My truck had been trying to up date all the last week. Couldn't. I charged it for a couple days, took it to lunch today, and it tried to update twice. Failed again. Then I took it to the dealer and sat in their lot....and it finally updated. I'll say it again: GM needs to fire every one of their code monkeys, and get some that actually know what the hell they're doing. I hate seeing people trade in their trucks because of this and the repair/warranty issues. Makes me wonder what out resale value is going to be. I'd sign up in a heartbeat for a class-action/mass action suit against GM over this, as it's negatively affecting resale values because of sheer incompetence.

Just how patient am I supposed to be? I've owned this truck a year now, and I still get intermittent screen blackouts. Without warning the radio stops and the screen blacks out, followed by the gauge screen. Sometimes it'll happen 2-3 times on a drive. It's idiotic and embarrassing that this isn't fixed.

I just posted about this in the electronics section. I am having this issue, but I don’t think I have seen anyone on the forums have the screen blackout yet. I’ve asked multiple dealers and they supposedly haven’t seen this issue yet. Anybody else having this issue or know of an update to this? It’s already been almost three months since this bulletin came out.

I have a 2025 Canyon, since day 1 the buttons on the steering wheel don't consistently change the songs. There have been a few instances where I've lost all audio including AM/FM, but the screen continued to work. The radio was replaced and updated, but that didn't fix it. Now Google Maps is having issues and keeps glitching and my phone cannot connect to Car Play or through Blue Tooth. The option to add a device is grayed out.

GM, DEI at its best! So glad I dumped my 24 Z71. Talk about failure to properly Beta test in house instead of having your customers do it for you. This system is going to be a nightmare for customers once your warranty expires.

Bottom line, If you do plan on holding onto your truck for a long time get those extended warranties now! My best wishes to those who are stuck with this mess, I feel your pain, well not anymore, its gone!
My 2021 has many screen issues... hope to see a tsb

Sadly all the in house testing of any product will still never get work out all the bugs until it is released into the real world.
We have a New System that has not yet been deployed in my Distribution Center... Since the bugs in the System would of took too long to work out before it was needed at the next Site. And they had to start using this new system.
And there is a Whole New Software that we thankful are going to be the last to get... So almost all the bugs should be worked out

My Tesla has OTA updates 2-3 a month, for 7 years now…. The first 5 years were major ones. Heck it took ~6 years for Tesla to figure out the algorithms for the windshield wipers.

My Colorado software is head and shoulders above the software in our 2 teslas, andTesla Self claims to be a tech company….

At least they are working on it. I bought a new 2015. I had to have the infotainment system serviced several times before the warranty expired. After the last time the stealer-ship said don't bring it back unless you want to replace it at your expense. That my friends is why my next vehicle will not be a General Motors product.

Well that is true for any Brand
Once the Warranty Expires.. The Total Repair Costs become the Customers
It is very frustrating when an issue can't seem to get fix though

supposedly Mary Berra fired the software people who built the software for the 2023 models for all GM vehicles. Either they are now trying to fix those built in issues, or she hired another 3rd party software company that was actually the same people, just under a different name.
