Who all has this and what are your thoughts? Probably a dumb question but is there a light on both sides of the bed? Is it sufficiently bright? Does it come on automatically when you open the tailgate or controlled from the infotainment?

I have them, only because they were free (long story)
Yes its two lights, activated by touch, and time out if left on too long.
Surprisingly bright and cover the bed as a whole. Happy to have them. BUT
If they were not free, I doubt I would have gotten them, they were supposed to be a $500 Cdn option if I remember right, so overpriced, you can do much better through amazon and a little creative wiring. There are several threads of owners installs here.

Ive installed i think 4 of them, they are actually useful bright, on the truck thats have that "from factory" (dealer installed) there is a pigtail dummy on the right rear lamp, so its easy to wire. aftermarket idk.... the annoying thing with them ive noticed its the end connector for it is JUUUUUUUUST the max size to fit through the very small opening where you run the wires out. (connector is a hair larger than the hole). the material is of okay-ish quality. god know how long they will live fore but they only just come out so idk. overall i think they are a nice add, but are a royal PITA when you have a drop in liner aswell....

I have the kit and it throws good light. Turns on/off by touching either light. The description references that they can be turned on/off from the Infotainment System but someone on the forums mentioned that the dealer needs to program this feature (for a fee). On my list to mention next time I stop in there.

I remember that too, but could not find any reference to it, makes me wonder if he was confused with the regular cargo lamp. Post if your dealer says it can be done.
Edit > its in the manual page 105 d'oh

If anyone wonders how its connected, here are the instructions

Probably.. Low light for the price compared to aftermarket. But.. I haven't seen after market beat the install simplicity of GM designed. I don't feel like I over paid... How high quality lights and wire harness which plugs into existing port.

Honestly, I've used mine not even a handful of times, but at least its there if I need them. I still have to see if I can trigger them via the interior cargo light switch (if the manual is right)
As far as price .. glad they were free for me, otherwise I would have DIY it using the stock connections from GM
