That is if everything goes well these next couple days!! I liked black the best, and currently have black. Thought I would change it up and get gray, but I guess i'll get used to waxing again lol. Strange how no dealers want to give them up lol. Only 2 or 3 in my state that matched, none available for trade. Have to deal local on this since I worked there and the sales manager is a friend. I value that, and refuse to break it. Have someone coming Saturday with a cashiers check for my 2005 crew z71, which I HATE to see go. Dealer is trading for mine tomorrow, and is having to give up a nice unit to get it for me. Only option it has is factory spray in. Am going to order up Chrome rectangular steps, mud guards, weather techs, and will start shopping tonneaus. I am so excited, and hope nothing falls through over the next few days!! Thanks to all that have helped me. Pray for me fellas :?
BTW. Help me. Chrome or black steps? I am not normally a chrome guy, but I think they would look nice.

I sampled a GMC CC with the 5" chrome step and to honestly tell you, it felt award. I'm 5'11" and it didn't feel quite right to me. It got in the way when exiting and when entering the truck, it was as if the truck wasn't high enough for them to be of benefit. My wife may have another opinion being that she's only 5'2". My Pug would be lost with or with out them! He can get into my X-Runner but that sits much lower to the ground.

I might be weird, but I like the way a step looks on an suv or truck. I have had a trailblazer, envoy, Colorado, all with steps. My wifes vue even has some. Also, I have 2 small kids....they need them. I don't usually even use them. Funny, I know.

Your old truck is beautiful, wish I'd have known it was for sale :p The new one looks great too, good buy man. As far as the steps go, the chrome looked good on your 05 because it had a lot of black on it as well, idk what the new steps look like but if they're like the old ones, I'd say go chrome.

Well, maybe to late to vote, but here is my take on the steps.

I hate the factory steps, both the flat style and tube style. Just me perhaps, but wife at 5'5" didn't care for them either. If they were there she would use them, but didn't seem to need them. I did watch her and learn how to use a step - you don't step into a truck going forward. Instead, you back up to the door opening, use the foot on the side of the truck, in other words, the left foot on left side of truck, right foot on right side of truck. Place heel of foot on step, step up and plop your buttocks on the seat and swing end. Use opposite to get out.

That said, I would not use chrome steps on a black truck. Your old truck looks pretty sharp with them, but they are more the tube style with the flat step surfaces black. The Canyon AT has the black grille surround, body color (black) rear bumper, etc. I think the Chrome steps will stand out like a sore thumb.

With all of that, I prefer the look of the tube style steps to the flat, and probably more so with an off road style AT version of the truck. If I liked the steps and found them functional, I would go this route.

I will say that I use the steps on my Wrangler when I give it the annual washing, and they are helpful to re-fasten the soft top. I just don't use them to get in and out, but they don't get in my way like the ones on these trucks do.

I think I decided to wait and see what comes out aftermarket. I really want some tube style like my old ones. I am hoping westin or someone gets going on this. I can lift the kids on for a bit I suppose. I did order the factory mud guards already. Had them in the old truck, and think they really help keep it clean. Not to mention I helps with all the crap getting tossed back onto the front of my brand new black boat. Cant wait until Spring to get the boat hooked up. Headed out here in a minute to hopefully take delivery!! I say hopefully because I know just about anything can and sometimes does go wrong lol

Awesome truck.... I'm torn between a black Canyon CC SB as an SLE All Terrain or SLT.
I looked at both, and decided as above. I tell you what I thought. The All Terrain is a little luxury, and a little more fun/sporty. The SLT is all luxury, not in a bad way. Its all what you are looking for. I absolutely love the looks of the interior of my a.t. The seats are crazy cool with the red stitching and the carbon fiber leather.

OP here
Well, I went in and got it done. Only drove it home tonight from the dealer, then sat in it for 2 hours drinking a couple beers playing around. Overall, I cannot believe that I like it more than I ever thought. The all terrain package is even better in person. The power is great, it's quiet, rides great, perfect size, and it just plain puts a smile on my face. More to come for sure, but I am happy with what I just did for the money I spent. Only got one new pic , well two, as it was dark when I got home. She fits like a glove!

Congrats man, I hope you enjoy it, I already have over 1000 miles on my all terrain, and hey...if you can't get the best color you can always get the second best color.black would be the second best.lol jk, beautiful truck, congrats!!!!and post more pictures!

Thanks bud! I appreciate you sending me all the pics. I really battled for the gray ones, but I have always had black too. I will just have to polish it a lot more. As long as the buyers follow through and take mine home Saturday, I am a happy camper. I hate starting over, but it just feels so goooood lol. Thanks again, you helped me a lot in my decision making! I am sure we will have a little photo shoot this weekend. At this point I just cant wait to get up for work tomorrow. Only time I wish I had longer than a 15 minute drive.

Nice!!!!! Get mine tomorrow afternoon. I liked both of the twins but the All Terrain interior was what sealed the deal for me. I wasnt fond of the Colorado Z71 seat material at all. It almost looked out of place for that interior, Plus the cluster difference is a big plus, seemed to plain jane in the Chevy.

Its all about what you can budget and what you prefer. Enjoy the Truck! 2 Thumbs up!
