CA Gas Station Issues

Has anyone had a trouble with CA gas pumps? I feel like I can never get it to fill up continuously without clicking off or the pump popping out just enough trigger the pump to shut off. Was getting a little frustrated today when even holding it I could only get about 3/4 of a gallon before it clicked off again. Seems intermittent but often enough to annoy.

That happens to me sporadically, usually at older pumps. Most of the time it doesn't do that though and fills up all the way without issue. We were down in San Diego this summer (not that there's anything special about the CA pumps that I know of). It happens all the time with my motorcycle though.

It happens with my truck maybe 1/20 times if that.

Have occasionally had that same trouble, but I don't think it is specific to CA. Sometimes the gas pump pressure and volume is too much and I just throttle back a little until it stops shutting off. Other times, I have had to change the angle of the gas nozzle in the filler neck.

Funny side note: My wife's car shows full when the gauge pointer is to the left. My Canyon shows empty to the left. I took her car and thought it was out of gas when in fact, it was full when I stopped to fill the tank. I got really irritated that the nozzle kept clicking off. Didn't figure it out until it finally overflowed.

Am I the one person that has never, ever had this happen? The only problem is when I try to fill up the Suburban the pump won't let me dispense all 42 gallons in one go.

gas tank

i dont know if anyone else has the same problem but since the flender flares out right at the gas tank when im getting gas the pump wont lock to let it fill up anyone else know what i can do to fix that.

Where are you located - seemed to be a bigger problem in California with their vapor recovery pump nozzles.

I live in New Jersey and we are not allowed to pump our own gas. But, have not seen any of the gas jockeys ever having a problem.....they click and walk away.

Problems pumping gas

Am I doing something wrong? I'm not able to push the little pin thing to keep the gas hose in nozzle I'm in California Southern California if that helps I've never had a problem pumping my own gas before until I got this truck

I have to hold the nozzle in the gas tank while I pump my own gas
