If you take careful notice, you can actually see that piece on the passenger side when the hood is closed.

Which is exactly why I took mine off. My truck is black and it stuck out like a sore thumb so cant imagine what you guys with the lighter colors think about it. But, its nothing functional.

Toughsox:

The "plastic thingie", does it simply snap on and off? Are there any screws holding it in place? I'm contemplating having it vinyl wrapped.

Thanks.
I think it was 1 small bolt holding it on.(Im guessing it was a 10 mm) It wasnt anything hidden and was what I recall a 30 second job to remove. :wink2:

Personalty I think it is why hood flutter is only on the drivers side. The wind gets under the hood and lifts that corner. Passenger side is closed off the the wind entering there. Do the 15's have a plastic piece on the driver side? Many of us have the hood flutter. It gets really bad when going 80 against a head wind.
Didnt you go have the hood flutter taken care of? They had some fashion of a plate they installed on the first year or twos worth of Colorados. Cant say I had mine done because.....I took the stock hood off. :grin2:
