Has anyone installed a BillieBars Tailate Cover on their truck? LINK I need to see how much height it adds to the tailgate as my drawers run very low.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Probably won't work with my drawers then. DamnThe description says 1/8" aluminum and 1/4" foam, so minimum 3/8" over every surface.
1. The foam makes it less painful on my old ass knees when crawling into the truck. (I currently have a piece of garage flooring foam that I have)What problem are you having that this solves ? Just curious.
For what I use my truck for... this is a solution in search of a problem. But maybe I'm missing out !
I've thought about shimming it up but it would be a major pain in the butt.I put a Bed Rug tailgate cover on mine it is good on my old knees, so much better than the ribbed plastic one's OUCHY.
It is about 1/4 inch thick and is padded underneath. I share your issue with spilling coffee maybe putting Velcro on the bottom of a cup holder and sticking in on the rug would fix it? A bonus on the Bed Rug is it's warmer to sit on then a plastic cover or the bare metal tailgate. Is it possible to shim up you drawer system to clear the thickness of that pad,?
I had never seen one of those before, that's pretty cool. I have a Stargazer lounge chair which is super comfortable but it's a pain to set up and put away. Every time it's like trying to shove 10# of crap in an 8# bag.For my trips I used to be a big tailgate sitter but my lady bought me a GCI outdoor collapsible rocker and it is incredible. Well worth the space on my trips, especially since it has back support and can go places I can't back my truck up to.
I may need one of those in my lifehaha I also have a couple other camping chairs that I stopped using due to setup/takedown time. That one just folds out; no bag or anything. It doesn't store super compactly but setup is 5seconds, tops. Have been using it for 2yrs now on half a dozen trips. I transport it in the open bed of my truck and no issues with it rusting or anything yet. Still rocks nice and smoothly.
