The Colorado I am looking at has the IO4 radio. In preparation of the Android Auto update that will be coming out, I am looking for the best price for a IO6 radio, HMI unit, and bezel. I found OEMautoparts and gm-navigation, but both sites sell the radios for over $1000. I will gladly save up the money, but would really prefer if there is a better price elsewhere. My searching hasn't uncovered anything.

Additionally, the steering wheel for the W/T with the IO4 does not have radio controls on it. I am assuming it also doesn't have the buttons on the back side of the wheel either. I read on here people are discouraged from swapping the wheels, but I don't know if anyone has found a solution. Thanks!

Mine was the 8"......and when I changed out the radio, it caused me to change the entire bezel so....I think if the wiring works, it should all just be plug and play. This weekend I will go out to the garage and take pix of everything that was replaced (oh, and all 4 door speakers came out too)

In thinking about this, you may want to hold onto that radio. There are certain configuration changes that can only be made through it, so you may one day have to hook it back up (briefly to make the changes of course)

While you may be right, as I did see a thread with all the features that can be changed, I am checking where I work ( we are a gov't fleet) and quite honestly, if all of the features can be activated or tweaked using a laptop and the GM programs, then I[d have no reason to hang on to the radio.

So far, while all those features seemed cool, not sure I will adjust any of them if I havent by the spring time. The truck is perfect for me so, twiddling with things like 'how long the lights stay on after I turn it off'......cant say I would be bothered. But, your right, Im hanging on to it until someone needs it or before I do my garage spring cleaning. Ya never know LOL
