Man that thing looks sick. How did you tackle the front of that truck? Did you make a control arm for it or did you fabricate your stock one? There is a fabricator out here in AZ the owns Auto Core and we sponsered a few things for the Colorado he built for SEMA. He fabricated a control arm that would fit a full size 99-06 chevy spindle that he still has the jig for. That was a baby blue one with a tilt bed that sat just as low as yours. Just a little curious what kind of work you had into yours.

As for the shockwave comment you are looking at about 5.5inches max travel on those. You will never get as low as you would like to. You would be better off with an air strut and fab the mount to fit your set up.

Maybe a stupid question, but where can you buy shockwaves, and about how much are you looking at for em?
I sell them and they will set you back anywhere from 775-1200 a pair depending on how crazy you would like to get. I can get you a whole kit for the price you would pay for just the pair of Shockwaves. Its quality stuff but you definately need to break the bank for it. Like I said before a air over strut would probably be a better way to go. Has anyone on here tried those on a Coly?

04LS covered ALOT of things that are needed...

Tom: i have custom made upper and lower control arms made that allow mine to lay 20's with Bell Tech 2" drop ball joints...

i know what truck you are talking about, amazing truck! i remember it so clearly as the "severed ties" colorado... but i'm sure they have more.

i'd love to run that set up with a drop spindle... that spindle would cure some of my woes, although i'm not a big fan of nearly 45 degrees of negative camber!!! (haha i'm not sure how much it really is but makes me wonder some times..)

isn't there a shockwave kit for our trucks???
i thought that yellow and white ext cab had that kit...

he bought all the parts that are needed in his application at dealer cost and did most if not all of the labor him self. so he bagged his truck for less than a thousand i think. which saved him from going to a shop and paying a "mark-up" for the parts and a shop labor cost. so he has a savings of at least 2500 bucks

You can get a 8.5inch wheel with a high offset and not have to worry about shortening the rear. You'll probably just have to flare the fenders at the most. You might not get that huge deep dish look, but it'll probably be more cost-efficient if you're worried about money. Worked for me at least.

Oh and get some slam specialties, they're sweeet.

alright since i am supposeivly talking out of my ass am i need to fully explain myself on what i did. alright as far as the rear end i went to Advanced Metal sales here locally and bought all the tabs bungs, hiems, and metal needed for a 4link built a link, then i went to VTKUSTOMS n bought rear over axle bag plates FOR THE FRONT OF MY TRRUCK which i fabbed so they fit up front, n then i bought all the circle plates i needed, next i went to streetbeat which i got all my bags, vavles, and line on wholesale through a buddies account, now everything added up to just about 800 bucks give or take n i was borrowing a compressor until i was able to buy 2 viar 480's..... which i just recently did....
