I'm spec-ing out a 2023 Trail Boss and considering the assist steps. Does anyone know how much these affect ground clearance? I can't find anything online. Also, if I don't order with the assist steps, is it something that can be added after market?

For what it's worth, they are billed as "Off-Road Assist Steps", which makes me think that they have ground clearance in mind, but there aren't any details about how they affect it.

You might want to check out a trail boss in person (when available). My wife had no problem getting into the TB, ZR2, but it was challenging. It's only an inch, but she preferred getting into the TB, still getting a ZR2, though.

I am curious about that on the Denali also. I really didn't want a lift and not sure why they put it on the luxury version, but since it comes with the factory running boards I went with it. I am wondering how tough it will be for the wife to step in.

I added the assist steps to my AT4X, my wife already had a hard time getting into my factory hight Tundra. But they say they are removable so I figured if I'm going to be out playing I can take them off. She'll just have to jump in.. lol

I bought the 5" ones for $395 on chevy app and they only have 11" clearance. My buddy has a 2016 z71 with N Fab wheel to wheel step bars and he has 13" of clearance on a shorter truck. Im thinking of trying the N fab bars
