Speaking of that, to save yourself all the anxiety, driving wife crazy on where you park, etc, just do your own ding, in an inconspicuous place. It will all be over and you both can relax.

You know its gonna happen, so why wait? Just do it yourself.

As long as you're going to do your first dent, make it a dent fixable by a paint-less repair guy. If it turns out to be your only dent (which never happens) by the time you're ready to sell, get it repaired cheap.

Even better, how about going to a dent man and asking him to dent it for you? This way he can make a dent he knows he can repair with least cost or complications.
