I really only need a hose that would go from the throttlebody to the existing airbox. I'm not interested in the "cold air" box.

The link I provided above is a replacement inlet pipe that goes between the factory airbox and the throttle body, plus a K&N filter. Using the filter isn’t required, but that’s how they package the kit.

Much appreciated. But; although I can afford it, I'm not paying $200 for a tube and filter.

The OEM air hose is a royal PITA to install, you have to rely on feel plus it's a tight fit. I use a tool like below I bought off a Snap On truck 40 years ago. I've gotten my monies worth over the years. View attachment 470036

yes! A royal pain. I used something very close to that to do mine.
