Check with Corbeau... they've got brackets out for their seats that fit the colorado canyon. Obviously some people don't know what their talking about when they said you'd have to make custom brackets. There is the one way which is corbeau but yeah expensive.

I dunno what they do about the airbag system though that'd probably take some phone calls with their salespeople/techs. Let us know how you do with them if you go through with contacting them. Just know it won't be cheap.

I apologize, I stand corrected. Corbeau does make brackets for the Colorado/Canyon. The brackets are priced around $100 for each seat, so you'd need two. The brackets are used in conjuction with a tab slider I believe. I just purchased a set of '04 Grand Prix seats a couple days ago, they'll be a lot of work. The only bummer with using stock Colorado brackets is you lose the power feature.

I'm just ordering my seats /brackets now!

The few that have installed these, how do you remove the stock seatbelt lock?
(just pondering the thought since I'll be receiving the corbeau seats soon)

oh yeah, Ive had great success with their seats in my prior vehicles...Jeep, VW's etc. very comfortable, and priced friendly then most hi-end aftermarket seats.

& I'll be getting this seat:

thanks for the info JHammond...do you remember what size allen?

cowboysgurl - I measured my seats at the widest shoulder point/waste poing, and then visited corbeau.com and checked out all the dimensions on the seats. Because if you go too wide, it may not fit accordingly. As soon as i get my seats w/in the next few weeks, I'll post up some pictures..

Why do they need airbag sensors in the seats? Theres a switch on the dash for the passenger seat, I was un-aware there was a switch for the airbags in the seat, unless some of the trucks have the automatic on/off thing for the passenger seat where it takes a certain number of pounds to have it turn on?

The sensors in the seat aren't to turn the airbag on/off, they're to tell the computer when to deploy the bags based on the forces reacting in the seat. Many vehicles (I believe including the Colorado/Canyon) have pretensioners in the seat, among other airbag and seatbelt sensors.

To get that bolt out, you can use a 17mm socket, if I remember correctly.

I just bought some the APC seats and they are not fun to get in you could make them work, but it would take some creative cutting to get them to fit for the APC Sliders are about an 1/8th of an inch off from the factories. I will be returning the seats tomorrow because they are to much work than there worth. And I accidently pulled the wire out under my passenger seat that connects to the airbag that sucked. I think I'm going to try to get H3 seats or just get someone to do new covers for my factory bech seats.

I should have seats within the next month and I can post some photos. Most likely Tenzo Rallys with Gravana brackets.

Actually it depends on the model year. The 2006-up years DO turn the airbag on and off with a sensornet in the seat. If you unlug it, you get an error. There is also a separate position sensor in the seat to tell the truck if it is close to the dash or not.
