I like the purpose of the adaptive cruise, but I don't have this option on my AT4. I have search high and low, but not able to find much info this option can be added or is this a factory only option. I do know it's available for the AT4 according to GMC's website.

This should probably be moved out of the "Builds" section.

You are not able to add this to a truck that did not come with it.

I don't know of any vehicle where this can be added afterwards. It involves a lot of sensors and connections within the vehicle.

If the GMC doesn't come fully loaded with this kind of stuff standard...I don't understand what the point of it (the GMC) is?

Adaptive/active cruise control usually relies on a radar sensor in the bumper. Lots of cars have both cameras and radars, but the cameras are typically use for "lane keep/warning" functions, sometimes forward collision systems, but ACC is almost always a radar-based system, it was on the last 3 cars I owned with it. These are highly integrated systems that can not be easily "added" aftermarket.
