A lot of problems

2005 z71 crew 3.5 liter

So I've had this Colorado since Nov 2011. It was a great truck until last year these little problems started popping up. I would occasionally check this site and 355 nation and see that these are just "common problems" alot of them more less just annoyances that I could live with. Now im ready to drive this thing off a cliff! Here is a list of what's going on Im not sure if its all related or if these trucks are really just that shitty.

Aftermarket head units shuts on/off intermittently. Never had a chime box or whatever. Ran an RAP mod since the day i bought it.

A/C blower works intermittently. Its all or nothing. Not like i see a lot of people say it only works on high. All setting either work or don't.

Door controls (windows, locks, etc) on driver door work intermittently. When they do work drivers window is just crappy. I'm assuming sticky regulator but it only works while pushing down on the window.

Gas cap light come on about every other time I drive and tends to go on and off the whole time.

Ive tried unplugging both bcm and pcm and letting it sit over night. Tried resetting truck by unhooking battery overnight. Also pulled off the ground junction under the air intake and cleaned and checked all connections.

So other than saying these trucks are just all around a waste of money can anyone help me out here?

Sorry to knock these trucks for those of you who really are "fans", but this thing has done nothing but prove to me Ive always bought Fords for a reason LOL

Cute? That's funny. We've established these trucks have a lot of electrical related issues. Vehicles with a lot of electrical issues tend to throw false codes. Unplugging the BCM and PCM was only a stab in the dark based on recommendations by other users in several other threads on this site. More importantly, the point of sites like this is to ask the kind of questions with the possibility someone else has faced the same exact problem and knows the fix without having to chase your tail trying to determine if the codes being thrown are legit, and thats assuming im throwing any codes at all. My check engine light is not and has not come on through any of these issues.
I'm not about to hang out at a shop hoping my gas cap light comes on, its the least of my worries at this point. I only included that in the list of issues to suit point. Do I have a single electrical issue that's causing all of this is what Im trying to get at.

The only reason I haven't done the blower repair int he video is that i find it odd that basically eveything I've read about it says it works only on setting 4 and not other settings. Mine either works on all setting or none of them work at all. Hate to piss away the money if its another problem.

I have a 2005 GMC Canyon that sometimes would not start. Crank but not fire. Dealership replaced the ignition switch on the steering column and that fixed the problem. The lock out feature was not working correctly.

Also, had an issue with the engine check light coming on saying check gas cap, etc. Replaced the gas cap and fixed the problem. Mechanic said to make sure you get about three clicks when replacing the cap after refilling gas tank otherwise, the warning light may come on.
