I know i posted something about this before but, What is everyone using? I put LED's in there, but sent a code to the ECU and prevented my Remote Start from working. I was informed i need Error Free LED's but havent purchased any yet. Can you guys provide a few examples of what you are using and that you dont have any issues with the remote start/no error codes? Its a pain having the error cleared( even if my dad works for chevy)

Also, do they have any effect on your backup camera? i hear some reverse LED's can be too bright to affect the backup cam vision.

btw AZ native here.

Thanks!

I used the Diode Dynamics reverse lights (whichever ones were their brightest option), and they are awesome! Reversing at night, looking through my tinted windows, I have no problem.

There is a relay and fuse for the trailer backups under the hood but it looks like the trucks backups are powered right from the BCM. Must be a BCM fuse protecting them I guess.

I had some LED backups for a while, didn't impress me much esp when one died after about a month. They looked really bright looking at them but didn't seam to throw much light so to speak. Camera was ok with them. I changed them back to reg bulbs.

LED's can cause glare at night in the backup camera, I think it depends more on the individual. I used these backup bulbs, been in for a year and no problems.

The HD50 or whatever they are from Diode Dynamics are way too expensive IMO.

I have a pair of JDM's in my truck now, and they are a little brighter than stock with no errors. Although I prefer brighter, so a pair of flush mounted lights are in the future.

The glare because of the "brighter lights" IMO is because of the shitty quality, $0.25 made in China camera on the truck and it's just as bad as when you step on the brakes when reversing at night.

I used these, no errors and they're blinding with how much light they put out. Backup camera is much clearer now as a bonus in formerly low light areas.

I used the 800 lumen version for the utility lights in the 3rd brake light. Also great function but I need to roll up my tonneau and lower tailgate to get a true benefit from them for working with the trailer or straps. I'm still debating a pod light that swings out or something near the tailgate.
