Did you install these in for your turn signal's? The only question that comes to mind is that an LED doesn't draw as much current as an incandescent bulb. In some vehicles, this will make the flasher control go crazy and cause the bulb to blink really fast.

Just a thought...my all stock vehicle is good enough for me (dang, I sound like an old man saying that- but after modding vehicles for so many years, I am tired of mods).

alright sorry to bring back a dead thread but i'm dumping the LED's apperently my computer all the sudden decided after 2 months+ of having the LED's installed that it doesnt like the led's and now my cruise wont work... Guess i'm gonna put some hyperwhites in there!
:?: Your cruise stopped working because of the lights? Hmmm, interesting, I've never heard of that happening. Did you replace the lights and the cruise started working again? I would think that more of a blown fuse, faulty switch, or poor ground somwhere. Just a thought...

I have 3157s in my turn indicators up front... Silverstars.

The voltages, and powers are the same (and so therefore the current), as well as the light output between the 3157 and 3757 based on Sylvania's specifications... The only difference is the base.

I was just searching around and about to put LEDs in the rear lights. Maybe I won't do this now!

Also Super... did you file down the little stubs coming off the 3157's so they would fit? or did they pop right in?
I cut off (with a sharp knife) the plastic studs on the sides of the bulb. They SNAPPED in, nice and snug, without them.

Filing was taking too damn long.

There's actually a thread about "headlights" which contains someone elses' bulbs. I can still get a picture of my Silverstars installed, but they look like this:

The Silverstars, when lit, have more of a reddish tint to the glow of them. I like that! It's subtle, but definitely there!

i tried all i could to get them in without breaking it, but they were just too tight. after i took the dremel to the those side doohickies, it went right in. not loose, but a good snug fit. no play in them at all. when i tried the factory 3157 in the 3757 slot, they went right in. but the silverstar ones seem to have a slightly larger base on them.

Yeah... I didn't have my rotary tool here. I started using a hand nail-file to get them ground down. Forget that.

I ended up using a sharp knife.

I noticed the silverstar ones have a slightly larger base. It doesn't even look like they do either.
