Hey everyone, I had some questions about my 360 camera inside the truck, I’m going over the build sheet from the factory and the 360 camera options that were included in my build.

2023 Chevy Colorado Trail Boss 360 Camera Options and Build Sheet Overview

Our '24 Trail Boss we bought for my work has all the options you have except for the remote start. The HD Surround Vision does, indeed, come with the Technology Package.

The poor image quality on the rear tire view is because the image is REALLY zoomed in. The same camera on the mirror is what is viewing both front and back tires at the same time.

I did not choose the camera system pkg. Every time I seem to need the back up camera, it's dirty and of no use unless I clean it. PITA if you ask me. Technology is cool until it stops working & needs fixed after warranty is over. I don't hate technology I just don't like how they always seem to get people dependent on it and then it stops working properly or never works properly to begin with.

I carry a spray bottle of water to clean the cameras off, and a soft tissue, not a big deal. I find the front camera crucial for offroading, as I do it alone (don't know anyone else with a rig) with no spotter. So, on those sketchy hilltops, I can see what's in front of me without having to stop. Even driving on a level trail it helps because I know where my wheels will go and can see "thru" the hood. I though the underbody cameras were a costly joke, because you're ALREADY over the obstacle at that time, and as one YT guy found out, you CAN destroy them pretty easily.

Lol, like I said, I don't hate technology but on my truck, 80% of the time, the backup camera doesn't actually come on until I have already gone 50' forward. Great when it works but it is like the truck has a delayed reaction. One time I was 1/2 mile down the road before it came on. I just wish this crap would work as advertised.

Not much more that gets your attention than doing 30-70 mph forward and seeing your backup camera come on, wondering if the transmission is going to explode.

Sometimes but not always. Many times I can back out of a parking space and it doesn't come on until I am going forward. Like a delay in the system.

It's just super frustrating. Dealer said they checked connections and did all the updates. And tell me: no further action required & get used to it because that's your new normal with all the new electronics. Other dealers say the same and are not interested because they say take it back to the selling dealer. It's like herding cats. Our dealerships in WNY area are horrible. And it is not just GM either. I have had Fords, Dodges and Toyota.

Dealer makes the difference, 3 GM's at the same dealer no complaints. My back up comes on quick, even before the main screen boots if I throw it in reverse quick, then the front camera is on once in drive for a few seconds.
I just can't understand the range of computer glitches on the same truck line, some have problems while others don't

My backup camera works perfectly, I like how it switches to the front camera for a few seconds after putting it in D. I LOVE having the cameras when wheeling. As I always go alone, it's a game-changer for me.
