I got my truck back (March build 2023 TB) after 2 days of the dealer unable to get the update to install. My understanding is it has an interim update installed with tech service that flashes “SHUTDOWN” on the DiC when I turn the truck off. They informed me there would be a final fix in a later OTA update. I see two update files in the history, and now have Android 12. Everything else seem to work. Data plan was missing ( in trial) but OnStar quickly re-enabled.
What are the dates of the 2 files in history? March and April?
 
I hadn't seen anyone post this particular article. Nothing new in it we didn't already know at this point, just posting here as it is yet another for the history books.
 
That last 2 Saturdays in a row I came out to my truck being dead. I had it towed and updated last weekend. Got it back on Wednesday and all seemed fine. Just went out to check and it’s dead again. FML

Thats the biggest problem, sure I know things happen but you read where every dealer is doing something different not knowing what the real fix is, its pathetic that this isn't a priority for GM as its making news all over the internet, I bet other manufacturers are loving it although they also have issues of their own

Hi all-
Check this out. I have a Canyon built in April. I still have the Android 11 patch and updates show I am current. Not eager to get the Android 12 patch as all has been good (praise Jesus) to this point. Please comment and share thoughts.
Most everyone built April and after is running v11. I wouldnt sweat it.
 
Oh. Isn’t the 12 patch the problem? Guess I should be happy it’s not trying to update to the 12?
android version has nothing to do with whats going on. Its a OTA update issue.
 
Has anyone actually got a fix yet that has actually worked? They are telling me my infotainment center has to be replaced. Chevy Customer Care called me and said they have expedited the part but still couldn't give me even an estimate when my dealership will receive it. 🤦 I have seen the new updates appear to be failing as well.
