I agree. I have just installed the part #86777977 front flares and they do not fit flush on front air dam of my 2022 Canyon AT4. I didn't realize how poorly the fit was until I had already installed them. I was able to trim some of the front flare off to get it to fit a little better, but since it was on the truck already I wasn't able to get it trimmed so it would be flush. I did fill the gap with black RTV for appearances and to keep wind from getting in and forcing the flare off in the front. It won't come off because the lower front retaining screw is about 6 inches or so above the end of the flare, but it was pulling the two sided tape on the flare up at the end.
I've read multiple websites (this being the best) and never read anything about the flares not fitting flush in the front.
Before I put the black RTV sealant in, I used some plastic epoxy to try and hold it down. After curing, I was able to scrape away some excess with my fingernail, so I'm sure it won't hold. I will probably put a plastic trim rivet in each side that will go through the bumper and hold it in place.
Anyone have any suggestions before I drill into my bumper?
Thanks.
