OK, let's see how prevalent this might be.
The build month and year can be found on the info sticker in the driver's door jamb.I purchased my 2017 Colorado in June, 2017. No idea of the build date.
no shudder or rumble but i only have 180 miles on the meter, i guess it's to early to tell.
Just hit 14k miles and the shutter started in stop and go traffic. It’s at the dealership and getting the flush tomorrow.I voted no, because I’ve never had that symptom. However, I do get really rough shifts sometimes, especially 1-2 and 2-1, but most of the time it’s butter smooth. I’ve also noticed that it’s adaptive. When I used to drive it harder, I had a lot more rough shifts. I noticed that after my fiancé drove it for a week. She drives like a grandma and it was butter smooth afterward. If I’ve been driving it hard or towing, it can be pretty rough in the 2-1 and 1-2 and at high RPM.
Built 3/17, roughly 13,500 miles.
With all the damn potholes that have developed here in the Water Wonder Land, it's impossible to tell if the truck has a shudder or if it's pavement induced.![]()
Just wondering how you got the dealership to reprogram the shift points. Not part of the service bulletin for the shudder that I am aware of so I'm just curious. My dealership confirmed my truck has the shudder issue but did not have time to do the 3x flush so I'm taking it back next week. I'm wondering how I might get them to reprogram the shift points too. Thanks! After a few days of driving, I’m not positive that my truck is fixed because I haven’t hit stop and go traffic yet. However, holy cow it’s so much better! I guess I was just used to how it shifted, but this is how it should have been from day one. It’s so much more responsive! It’s going into 4 cylinder mode a lot more so that would be great if the mpg went up a bit too. I wanted to make sure that I wasn’t crazy so I had my fiancé drive it and didn’t say anything and she noticed it right away too.
I didn’t ask them, I just told them the symptoms. They replicated the symptoms and did the 3x flush and reprogramming. They had it for two days, but since it ended up taking longer than a day like they had originally promised, they gave me a loaner. A sweet Fwd base model 18 Enclave. I appreciate your reply. We'll see if my dealership does the reprogramming.I didn’t ask them, I just told them the symptoms. They replicated the symptoms and did the 3x flush and reprogramming. It’s probably done as needed. Mine was shifting really weird. I had just kinda got used to it and dealt with it because I love the truck so much.I appreciate your reply. I'm glad you posted this. I only have 600 miles on my truck, but driving home from the dealer, there was a rumble at 75 and higher. I assumed one of the tires was out of balance. I'll have to start paying closer attention to the symptoms.I had the shudder on my 2017 Colorado Z71 (V6/8spd) with 1300 miles. When driving 50 mph the vibration was subtle, but at 75 mph it was more pronounced and felt like I was on rumble strips. It would vibrate for 1-2 second and then pause for 2 seconds when holding steady speed.
The dealer was able to replicate the issue and attributed it to torque converter shudder. They flushed the transmission fluid 3 times per tech bulletin #4526930. They still detected a slight shudder and suggested I bring it back after 200 miles. I'm now at 5,000 miles and cannot detect the vibration, so I'm calling it fixed.
