I voted no, because I’ve never had that symptom. However, I do get really rough shifts sometimes, especially 1-2 and 2-1, but most of the time it’s butter smooth. I’ve also noticed that it’s adaptive. When I used to drive it harder, I had a lot more rough shifts. I noticed that after my fiancé drove it for a week. She drives like a grandma and it was butter smooth afterward. If I’ve been driving it hard or towing, it can be pretty rough in the 2-1 and 1-2 and at high RPM.

Built 3/17, roughly 13,500 miles.

I purchased my 2017 Colorado in June, 2017. No idea of the build date. At 4100 mi., no rumble issues with the tranny. I do get get the occasional clunk when taking when taking off or moving along in slow traffic.

I seem to recall a thread about certain transmissions having their internal parts coated with an corrosion inhibitor that, when mixed with the trans fluid, caused an issue. May explain why everyone is not experiencing this problem.

I have had something going on shortly after purchasing the truck but not constantly repeatable for the dealer to confirm. I reported a stutter when first taking off from park after sitting for several hours on here last year that never went away and on my route to work I coast down a long grade to a stop sign when the transmission oil has not warmed up yet, and when I take off and go up a grade, it takes a while for the transmission to decide to shift up while climbing the grade unlike any other vehicle I have driven on the same route for over 30 years . No issues with the transmission on the highway yet. My truck was built in January of 2017 so most likely it has the wrong oil in the transmission. I only have about 7800 miles on it at this time.

no shudder or rumble but i only have 180 miles on the meter, i guess it's to early to tell.

Yeah, most haven't noticed it until 3k or more. Good Luck!

Just hit 14k miles and the shutter started in stop and go traffic. It’s at the dealership and getting the flush tomorrow.

With all the damn potholes that have developed here in the Water Wonder Land, it's impossible to tell if the truck has a shudder or if it's pavement induced. :censored:

The roads aren’t any better up here in northern Michigan. I think I don’t have it at 11k on the ZR2 but I can’t tell. 35s don’t help either.

I just picked up my truck from the dealership. They did the 3x flush with new fluid and reprogrammed the shift points. I’ve only driven it home, which is mainly highway, but it seems way different and in a good way.

I had the shudder on my 2017 Colorado Z71 (V6/8spd) with 1300 miles. When driving 50 mph the vibration was subtle, but at 75 mph it was more pronounced and felt like I was on rumble strips. It would vibrate for 1-2 second and then pause for 2 seconds when holding steady speed.

The dealer was able to replicate the issue and attributed it to torque converter shudder. They flushed the transmission fluid 3 times per tech bulletin #4526930. They still detected a slight shudder and suggested I bring it back after 200 miles. I'm now at 5,000 miles and cannot detect the vibration, so I'm calling it fixed.

After a few days of driving, I’m not positive that my truck is fixed because I haven’t hit stop and go traffic yet. However, holy cow it’s so much better! I guess I was just used to how it shifted, but this is how it should have been from day one. It’s so much more responsive! It’s going into 4 cylinder mode a lot more so that would be great if the mpg went up a bit too. I wanted to make sure that I wasn’t crazy so I had my fiancé drive it and didn’t say anything and she noticed it right away too.

Just wondering how you got the dealership to reprogram the shift points. Not part of the service bulletin for the shudder that I am aware of so I'm just curious. My dealership confirmed my truck has the shudder issue but did not have time to do the 3x flush so I'm taking it back next week. I'm wondering how I might get them to reprogram the shift points too. Thanks!

I didn’t ask them, I just told them the symptoms. They replicated the symptoms and did the 3x flush and reprogramming. They had it for two days, but since it ended up taking longer than a day like they had originally promised, they gave me a loaner. A sweet Fwd base model 18 Enclave. Haha

I appreciate your reply. We'll see if my dealership does the reprogramming.

It’s probably done as needed. Mine was shifting really weird. I had just kinda got used to it and dealt with it because I love the truck so much.

Since you can't vote twice, my wife's truck goes in Wednesday for the trans flush, after I had mine done 2 Saturdays ago. I asked them to do an alignment, because the wheel had a oscillation feeling, and that's what they came back with after test driving.

I'm glad you posted this. I only have 600 miles on my truck, but driving home from the dealer, there was a rumble at 75 and higher. I assumed one of the tires was out of balance. I'll have to start paying closer attention to the symptoms.
