I was wondering if anyone knew if the 17 inch tahoe rims will fit on my 04' z71 2 wheel drive rado'. I beleive the lug pattern and the offset are fine. I know some of the older fullsize wheel had to be bored out to fit our hubs though. I'm wondering if the new trucks have larger hubs than the previous years. Let me know.

I believe the Tahoe wheels are 78 mm bore and the Colorado wheels are 100mm bore. They only need to be bored about .400 deep from the backside and an 1/8" chamfer around the hole. They'll still be plenty strong enough.
is this the exact specs or just an estimation? if so good information that should be stickied somewhere because this comes up often.

Does anyone know where I might be able to get this done in Michigan. I know plenty of machine shops but they would all charge a fortune for someone off the street. I'm looking more for the case of beer a few bucks type of arangement. Let me know

I know this is an old post, but came across it for some reason. Instead of boring, buy a cheap set of 1" spacers. You won't have to worry about the bore and it gives the truck a more aggressive look.
As has been stated in several other threads, if you choose to run spacers it's recommended to add to your maintenance list 'retorque wheels'. Anybody who has spacers will generally pull the wheels and torque the spacers at oil change intervals. This is for safety reasons.
